Novi Sad bridge Hi Al
I enjoyed Your diary very much. I live in Novi Sad, and would like to tell you about that damaged bridge that you saw from the citadel, it was brought down in WWII. All bridges from NATO intervention have been either built again, or repaired, more or less sucessfully
Bon Voyage :)

very hot dogs... Hi there,I'm a Romanian born, but live abroad for many years now;I found your story on Romania so funny that it made laugh with tears...
Very funny indeed...
Really appreciate your comments and hope that you will go again to visit Romania, but try the North half of the Contry and you will have some nice surprises...no dogs, far less gypsies, people who care and respect themselves and their guests.Unfortunately, Bucharest is not an example of what Romania is,but hope that it will someday change for the better. And talking about food...well, here is where you missed something really special:trad cookery of Transilvania and Bucovina (North of Romania).Speaking about Bucovina, you just missed a region with the highest ozone rate in Europe (apparently) and the painted monasteries...something really special and unique in the world.
All the best for now and thank you again for a most enjoyable "memoire"... cheers, dan

SCAREEEY!!! That was scarey! Glad I didn't read it the same night as I watched 'Wolf Creek'. Yes, I know you told me not to watch it and yes you were right - I shouldn't have.
Can't think of anything original so there's no comment title! Can't wait for the KEEEEAAANE and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly! photos to go up. Don't dare put up that awful one of the two of us at the gig!
Oh no he DIDN'T Did you just call Dr Phil 'Trash'??? You bastard. We're not friends anymore. Actually, I forgive you, because Dr Phil thinks we can't move on emotionally if we carry rage and hatred in our hearts. It sounds like you had an awesome time, and drank your fair share of Guinness. Did you know its good for you? Its full of...iron or something. How funny is the Guinness museum? I remember watching 20 minute video on how to be a cooper.
Same again - yawn! I just realised I wrote exactly the same thing yesterday. I don't think this 'no alcohol' rule midweek is working!! Maybe I should give it up?
Mud glorious mud You see you just had to get muddy at one of the festivals. You should have gone to the Scottish twin festival - apart from the first day when it pissed it down, it was sunny the rest of the time. Got some Tori Amos for you -the red one, but Muse wasn't shown -sorry. They kept showing rubbish like James and Just Jack. Heartbroken about the stolen wellies!!!
How's the Emerald Isle? I think you took the rain away with you over there although today there was a storm with hailstones today here. What happened to the British summer? The T in the Park concert in Scotland was a wash-out on the Friday but the weather looked fine the other two days. You'll be pleased to know I got about half an hour of Tori Amos- finally manged to locate her via the interactive red button. Nowhere near as much coverage as Glastonbury (only one and a half videos!) partly because the Live Earth concert was on all day on BBC too. I only videoed Keane (didn't bother with Razorlight, Snowpatrol etc as I got a lot of them on other concerts). It was better than the Diana concert but not as good as all the other concerts that have been on. Don't forget to drink at least one Guiness for me!!!
Pity you're not here in December! Finally caught up with the backlog. Great blog and looking forward to the pix. I almost feel I was there. Hey you guys (Alex's friends) you really need to check out Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. who is not strangely enough a group but a 21-year-old guy, who didn't like his real name - Sam Duckworth (not surprisingly) Guess who I'm going to see on December 14th in London, Alex? No not him but Kaiser Chiefs - persuaded Jo to come with me - not sure she actually knows who they are!!!
You remembered me!!! Aw Alexi you are so frickin sweet....Thanks for the birthday wishes and the card, I was totally surprised and nearly shed a tear...but I held that one tear back as Im strong one....ha ha.....seems you had an absolute pisser of a time in Amsterdam as you bloody well should being the place to be for *cough* drugs...i saw you're little facebook comment...you closet junkie....jokes man jokes
Hey dude,
Absynthe (however you spell it) is part of the experience...haven't you seen Eurotrip? lol
Ali
P.S. Sorry I kept you up so late, i thought it was only 11pm-12am your time!
Great It is wonderful to see that people are visiting Albania and are having a good time. I am Albanian but live in the US. haven't been home for about 6 years, but I will go soon. I also lived in Thessaloniki for 1.5 years, about 10 years ago. Great city! I hope you have a good time!
Crying right now OMG Im looking at all your pics of the bands and im so so so jealous! I hate you alex and all your travelling ahhhh while im here studying the treatments of parasitic infections!! No no i dont hate u he he i take that back...
vince was a loner a loveable stoner ahaaaaaaaa No way you saw the fratellis!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS MAD. I bought their album a couple of months ago....really awesome. By the way, don;t encourage my mother to go out and buy other stuffed specimens. Before I know it, my backyard will be a taxadermic graveyard.
Procrastinating Dont you tell me not to procrastinate! Would you tell Michelangelo not to paint? That sounds so amazing! And you're not a whore. 12 hours in the front row means you were in a committed relationship. I can't believe all the bands you've seen, thats so awesome! And a great blog entry, i especially enjoyed the ubiquitous Simpsons reference. I'll write really soon, my exams are almost over and then i will have lots of time to defeat Marcy and make him cry... I mean, stay in contact with you.
I feel old Hi alex
Good to keep up with your travels- I know I am (getting) old when I don't know ANY of the bands you mentioned!!!
Will email soon. Take care. D
Damn you Helen! Right, what with study and all I haven't had nearly enough time to get on here and defend my honour. Two points of order. Firstly, Sophie I am not now nor have I ever been adopted by Angelina Jolie. And the jumper to which you refer is awesome. That's right... Awesome. Secondly, to Connie, you may have beaten me in bowling yes... but as the Great Rafael Nepomuceno once said "Bowling one of lifes great pleasure's is. But unpainted, a black hole the ball falls through " Think about that. Thirdly does anyone have any idea where Alex is? My guess is Helen Mirrens dungeon of love. If you're reading this Helen, say hi to Al from me.
I'm living the high life!!! Hi Al,
Well i DID tell you that Nick and i were considering moving out together but then it all got kinda rushed where we were offered a place but only if we moved in a week later....
So here we are!! We've rented a place in Docklands on the 11th floor. Its basically at end of Flinders st but we look out the other way so our view is basically of the freeway but ultimately we can see the bay (and all the cruise ships coming in and out as well as sailing boats), the river front of crown casino (complete with fireballs on the weekend) and the westgate bridge. Its really nice... I'll put up some photos on facebook soon....
We also have a pool, gym, sauna and spa which are soooooooooo nice... the side of the pool is actually a window which people driving past can see thrrough!! so not sure about that but ill just swim on the inside lanes!! And i can take guests so you can come swim with me.
And dont worry the couch already has a spot for you when you get back so you can crash here when u get home!
Love ya!
You're gonna rememer this trip forever...keep enjoying it!
My condolences Hey Alex,
Sorry that the Germans didnt man up and face the elements. Ooooo it's too cold to swim...ooooh....the creek wave is far too hight...MAN UP GERMANY. What a poor show. No wonder they lost the war....Too soon?
But it is a beeautiful city. One of my favourites. And if it gets colder, just eat more pretzels...and drink more beer. The way Homer would want it to be.
Enjoy Germany!
Patsy
naked people While you're in Munich, make sure you frequent the Englischer Gartens. SO Awesome. Big open space in the middle of the city, where everyone gets really naked (I mean excessively naked) and floats down a creek only to emerge at the end, get out naked and run to the start again. Oh and they surf at the top of the creek. You haven't seen surfing until you've seen it in Bayern!
Youre making me want to travel you lucky thing!
