Howdy oz travellers Hey Guys,
Nice to hear your having a fat time! Some great wildlife pics -and I didn't realise how huge the uranium mine was -omg.
There is still a hint of you Jack here at Partnershhips. Actually your desk which I am sitting at now hasn't changed since the day you left it!
Looking forward to some pics of the Kimberleys and Broome when you get there. Can you take one of the Broome jetty for me?
Take care -Olly :)
jealous too Like all and sundry who are keeping an eye on how you are travelling we are jealous beyond all belief!! Hope you continue to have a great time - and I want to carry your bags when you do get around to Africa. We are finally looking out onto green grass on the hill behind the house, and the vege garden is awaiting your TLC, Jack! Lol. Love from us and the kids
Orange Beard Hi J and C - Photos, travels look amazing. Jack has a orange beard again, is that the dust or DNA?!
Hope you guys are having a ball. Wishful thinking to have my thesis ready for everyone to read through weeks before its due, I still feel a million miles away, totally over it. As usual final gust of wind is always the strongest, clearest.
Email me when you folks get to Darwin, and take care.
Bella x
(PS) Ive posted comments a couple of times on your blog but they never eventually appear, did I get blocked by a sensor?! :-)
sooooo envious Hey kids
Am sitting here in my little Canberra chair (in the freezing cold - but at least it's peeing with rain!) so very envious...travelling vicariously really has its limitations!
Missing you! Hey Jack and Christine,
Long time no hear, drop us a line when you get a chance...you know I am worried (wolf creek style). All is fine here, nothing new to report. Your pics look awesome and I am very jealous of your adventure. I will have to drag old man wagner out to come and meet you somewhere fun like kakadu.
Stay safe, love Zoe xx
Wasssupppppp Hey brother and sister
Just popped on for the first time, you know, long time reader first time caller type thing...anyhoo
Cool blog guys, nice photos and all that, well done, looks like you're having a blast, we are totally jealous. Didn't know about the roof top tent man, classic.
Let us know when you're in radar range for a phone call. Poor Billy has been in a fight and is limping around, but apart from that, all is same as here, even down to beers at the RUC on Friday!!!
Wags......out
more stuff, more lists! Ha Ha love your blog - miss you guys! I see there is yet another tent, and a long list of dates and locations, was that Christine... or Jack? Jack. :-)
Hinchenbrook looked beautiful. Guess the wet season came and went then.
Have a wonderful time - i will be checking in every now and again to make sure you both get through wolf creek Ok :-)
You both prob know all this already... Im heading to Syd (in the red car) after the thesis is due end July (OMG so much more work than I thought)... to live in the bondi flat with bonnie and get some funds together doing a few months of contract work, prob something policy related with the govt - theres heaps of that kinda thing in syd at mo. Also think its fair time to catch up with family and syd friends (and that reunion!).
I guess then I plan to travel overseas from Nov-Feb in a very unstructured and wonderfully meaningless way... before maybe canberra? Unless a job or a lovely man in NY pops up, or god who knows :-).
Prob see you both for lunch or something when you head through bris in June, if time allows on either side. Christine I suppose I should start looking into a suitable wine list :-)
Take care - always turn the gas off
B xx
Hinchinbrook Perhaps you saw the "I shouldn't be alive TV show last night that talked about the guy who got trapped in a creek under a boulder on Hinchinbrook a year or so ago - yabbies tried to eat his feet!
Enjoy your adventures and look forward to reading more. I am off to Austria and parts nearby on May1 for a month. Getting excited. Enjoy your trip we'll keep up with you via this site. Have fun.
Good stuff Hey guys, looks like you are having a great time seeing the sights. We recently did a trip to the Flinders Rangers for a bit of outback, 4wd adventure and had a great time, but will definately have to make our way up north sometime it looks so specky!
Keep up the photos, that way we can pretend we are not spending our days at work!
Take care, Mel and Damo
From Rome Bizarre to sit in an internet cafe in Rome not far from the Forum and look at pictures of the Daintree! Great work - good writing - not too many errors says English teacher. Keep it up. Photos excellent. Watch out for those crocodiles. Love
Starting in Cairns and travelling to every good spot we can find this is a blog of Jack and Christine's trip around Australia in 07/08. We left our home base in Canberra in August and have been based in Cairns, Far North Queensland since September. We have a Toyota Hilux 4x4 fitted out and hopefully we can make it to some of the remostest parts of the country. We will keep you all up to date with lots of pictures and stories, check the itinerary entry to find out our plans and send us a message to keep in touch.
Cheers
