Congratulations
Congratulations on the newest member of the family. Love the momentos you're picking up to mark the occasion of his birth. I thought the geocaching in Ireland sounded so fun so thought I'd see how many geocaches we could get in Mexico during our vacation. Ummm...darned few. Not a big activity while you're exploring mayan ruins it seems. Guess I can't use that as an excuse to buy a GPS unit yet. Heading to the coast today - without the boys so I can get some scrapping done! I'm taking pictures to scrap from our last trip. G-

Car Keys
Glad you waited till we were home to do that. Also glad you didn't lock the car. That wouldn't have been good either. Your pictures are gorgeous and I am jealous that we had to leave. My body is still trying to run on Ireland time. Oh and I almost drove on the wrong side of the road on my way home! Oops.

Geocaching
The thing here is that I have been reading each of these entries......which by the way congrats on your dedication to it....makes us all feel like we went along but really didn't......but what I haven't figured out is....Geocaching....what in the world is it...I am beginning to think you are all some kind of treasure hunt.

Enjoyed history lesson
Enjoyed reading about the Dublin adventures. Checked out the geocache site on Vikings and Vicars. Very interesting. Glad you got to see a little of the Biking history.

Loving the blogs!
It sounds like you are having a blast. I'm really enjoying reading everything. You'll have to bring back lots of brochures and recommendations for me. The kids and i are going over in the summer of 2008...Oh, and Hayley says to bring her back a cute Irish boy! LOL

Krystal Throwing Down the Whiskey
Way to make Robert look like a complete girl (adding the fufu to his whiskey) he is not going to survive a Loverin Family Reunion at that rate....Thank god I wont be prego at the next one, all I could think about last one was trying to get out and get a drink or two up on Uncle Fred.....

G's Vikings
Actually, we haven't really gotten to see anything it seems, just the major tourist attractions. We are going to try to hit some geocaches so maybe we'll find some history there.
3rd November 2006

Hey! Are you getting to see any Viking stuff now that you're on the Dublin side of Ireland? I guess (despite my last name) that I didn't realize how big of an influence the Vikings had on Ireland. If/when we make it to Ireland I know we'll be looking up some of the Viking sites. Still loving the descriptions and the photos. That cave formation was wild! OK - and Robert in the trunk was special too. LOL. What a great idea to pick up games and sand from the country you're traveling in. Fun momentos to bring home. Your description of the hostel sounds a lot like my experiences. Seems like a great idea if you're travelling alone but if you've got 4 people, the cost and hassle isn't really worth it. Gotta go to work now - I'm not on vacation yet.

Something for next time
Pity you didn't get to spend an evening with Pa Sugrue the renowned story-teller in Killarney. Read more about Pa on killarney-ireland dot info Glad you enjoyed yourself. Come back soon.

Road kill
OK - so what's the deal with the number of people killed in Kerry? Is it 54 or 55. Or is like one sort of hanging on with a bag prognosis? That is a weird sign but I bet you drive more carefully. LOVE the photos of the rocks and the flags and the Ring of Kerry. Sorry the tour didn't go as planned. It sounds like a beautiful drive in the guiidebooks I read. Keep up the chocolate commentary - was enjoying hearing about the cool new-to-you candy bars. LOL. I never thought of Ireland as a chocolate lovers haven.

Hey!
Funny to be catching up on your journey and see my name in the blog. And, then to see my dinner menu - actually I was going to have colcannon for dinner tonight but ended up with spaghetti insead. Maybe Friday we'll go for the Irish food. Well, I'll keep on reading and looking at the lovely photos. G-

The weather has been lovely thus far, a little sprinkling but no downpours like Oregon. Hopefully this will keep up throughout our vacation.

Lucky you
Guess you're somewhere in an airplane or airport right now. I'm pretty envious. Don't forget, Krystal, you need to make an album that will make Dave want to go to Ireland. No pressure - but it needs to be outstanding!
