We're starting early in the morning and are going to a top of an unconstructed building, where we enjoyed a nice view of Tanah Rata which cleared of fog. For breakfast we were getting some good food at an indian street kitchen - pancake with banana and chocolate. Good basics for doing a "small" trekking-tour in the Highlands. Trail Nr. 8 leads us to the Mt Berembun. On the way down, returning back to tanah rata, we somehow get off the main track and slipped down the hill. The parit falls we wanted to reach and by hearing the sound of water we finally reached them. But the parit falls are a little picked with rubbish. The off-track offers me another leeche, but it was a small young one.... read more

After a long sleep in the cave, the second begins with smoked-tasted toast from ubai with jam and hot chocolate or tea. This trekking was more relaxed, no burning boat ride. For midday we've made our lunch at a river with kind of sea. Here we were going for fishing and some more liane action. For the last we make a short stop at the orang asli, the origins who are the only ones who are still living in the jungle. They are able to make fire and constructing blow pipes. With the poison of the plants they are hunting for animals in the jungle.... read more

From Taman Negara to the Cameron Highlands was a small adventure. In the morning we took the local bus to Jerantut for 7 RM (1,5 euro). In Jerantut there are no direct connections to the Cameron Highlands. So we took the train to drive to Gua Musang, a stop-over town between these two regions. But also there are no public transports to the Cameron Highlands. But at the train station a malay was asking us 'where you wanna go'. For 150 RM (30 euro) he offered us to drive us to the CH. At this journey Andi the Trier from Germany joined our journey and the time in Cameron Highlands. We arrived late at 17 o'clock, and after the 3rd accommodation we found a room to stay. But just for one night, the whole was very ... read more

We've booked a two days and one night tour for the jungle. But first we make a walk over the canopy walk, a hanging rope bridge with ladders, elevated 45 m above the ground. Our tour guide is 'Ubai', 'Dubai?', 'No, Ubai', 'Ah Ubai' :). He leads us through the jungle, 3 people were getting lost there, 2 were found again, the one has been in the jungle for 90 days. And Ubai cooks for us delicious meals. The beginning of the 2day-trekking tour was horrible. In the blasting sun (38 degrees C) we had to ride with the boat 2.5 hours to the starting point, the sunburn was guaranteed. On trekking in the jungle the biggest obstacles were fallen trees and small rivers. One way to cross them, by using the lianes and swing to ... read more

In our neighborhood in chinatown we enjoy the sense of drinking tea - time for reflections. At the chinamarket you'll be confronted from both sides to buy some stuff: belts, watches, wallets, shoes, shirts, dvds and many many more. In Malaysia the most people are in the religious belief of muslim. In KL the 'Masjid jamek' is one of malaysia famous mosque. Before you can get in you've been checked two rules. No woman, no shoulders and knees. ... read more

We arrived at Kuala Lumpur airport in the afternoon. Our destination from here is to go to chinatown, where we find a pretty cheap and basic accommodation. After getting fresh, putting on our shorts and shirts and slipping in the flip-flops we started to discover the city of Kuala Lumpur. A nice view would be wisely for starting, so we're heading to the nearby TV-tower called 'Menara Kuala Lumpur'. The view from there was worth to walk 1 and a half hour through KL. W Next stop have been the patrona towers, they are the must see of KL and it has been the highest building of the world, not so long time ago. Stefan had to take a panorama of me and the towers to get the full range. ... read more
