With a couple of weeks to go, I had to get organised. I wanted an ipad but didn't really want to carry something that large around (nor spend the amount of money that Apple decided was acceptable). Dean thought we should bring a laptop, but again, I didn't want to have to lug a piece of equipment larger than a book. The mini ipad wasn't coming out until after we left, so that left us with the android market. A Samsung was the best option, so I bit the bullet and purchased a Galaxy Tablet. JB Hifi were basically throwing them out to make way for the next model. With the tax refund, it was a winner. We could make calls, search the internet and keep check on the email. Or so we thought. Looking forward to our big adventure: Melbourne - London - Paris - Japan - South Korea - China - Vietnam - Cambodia - Laos - Thailand - Malaysia and back home to the sunny Aspendale Riviera... At the moment Trip Advisor and Lonely Planet are our best friends. Due to Dean's football commitments (and, to be honest, a reluctance to spend more than 10 hours in a plane to a climate colder than Melbourne's) Eleanor and I are flying from Melbourne to London and then on to Paris for a little bit of luxury time before hitting South East Asia. Two travel agents said it wasn't possible to do something like this for under $3000 EACH!!!! Well, that's quite crazy really.
