Shorecooleles Ukulele Group Hi Alistair, I have just read your blog wow! sounds awesome can't wait to see some photos on your return. The Ukulele group played at the Ponsonby Primary School on Saturday 30th June. The team were first up, we were all very nervous but we did very well and had a wonderful time.
Wow - Seeing the Gorillas Hey Al,
Am enjoying your posts ... seeing the Gorillas sounds amazing. And knowing their family history even more so! Might have to smack Jeremy around when he returns to the family ... don't know about Martin handing over the reins though!!
Stay safe...

Extremes.. Hey Al,
Couldn't help but wonder at the extremes of your tourist trip ... near death experience on the road to genocide memorials to a tea house for lunch??!!! Extremely varied and only day 1!! You sure know how to do it.
I look forward to more posts.

Sounds like a busy day Interesting start to your trip. Doesn't exactly sound like fun, but I suppose it's nice to contrast it to what Rwanda is like now, and see how far they've come? The Tea House sounds nice! Hope your next day is a bit less dark. And less life-threatening. :P
Project Review Excuse the title but its a tradition. Glad to see you arrived safely and are finding your way around. Nina and kids are about 30mins from the end of their journey and would already be in Sweden if not for a delay on the last flight to Arlanda. Finally got my quiet week at the office and quick as a flash I have no one to chat on the interweb with. Its cold and blustery back home so just as well the rest of us are about to spread our wings and migrate north. Have fun. R.
After an interlude of around 26 years it's time to drag the backpack out of the basement and see a few of the places I missed the first time around. It's time to go a wandering one more time... full info
