AmandaL's Guestbook

You tucked your book into the strings of the violin as a tip?
The transit workers AND the military are against you.
23rd January 2010

You were dragged away in the night by The Police for not liking Depeche Mode?
Why does it look like people are rubbing the Little Princess's pants for good luck? That's kind of creepy.
23rd January 2010

You're addicted to shoplifting in foreign countries?
There's always room for Jell-O.
23rd January 2010

You sabotaged the DJ and made everyone listen to Bon-Jovi on your iPod?
What's porn?
22nd January 2010

You threw your book at the string quartet when they tried to steal your grizzle?
Bacon makes everything taste better. Ever try bacon wrapped bacon? Mmmmm, bacon!

Beautiful photos!
All of your photos are gorgeous, Amanda. I love reading your stories and break in to inappropriate laughter with out fail at every entry (my co-workers are confused). Thank you for sharing your travels with us all. I can not wait to read more and see you when you get back. Ever thought about writing professionally? I think you'd be wonderful! #1 Fan Right Here!

dead weight iPod
Amanda, I'm not very savvy about electronics but, theoretically, couldn't you download your music from the iPod to your backup harddrive and be able to play your music on your laptop? You may have already figured that out, perhaps? Couldn't help but think of this when the speakers broke down at the bar (altho' you wouldn't have had your laptop with you, of course). :)

awesome!
Wow! What a difference in hotels, huh Amanda? It would be interesting to find out the breakdown of how much you paid for each accomodation along the way, tour vs. no tour. This is a beautiful city! Glad you were able to see it!

Love that Book!!!
OMG - I loved that book. I think it may have been one of my all time favorites. I'm sure you are through reading it by now. Let me know what you think between the tears.

Nope, just 3. My brain is friend and I meant to write "Amsterdam" for #2, not "Nuremberg". Will go fix that :) I'll find creepy bones to stare at one of these days!! (Paris Catacombs closed then Kutna Hora- what the heck?)

Ahoy! By the time you get home this spring, you'll be fluent in over a dozen laguages!

Kutna Hora a no-go?!
Hey, that's too bad about Kutna Hora. I was actually quite intrigued and was hoping to live vicariously through you on that one. Monks arranging bones into chandeliers and what-not? What could be cooler than that? I wonder why the guide said it was a huge waste of time...what's up with your plans to see skulls and bones being kaibashed? For shame!

Yet another boat cruise gone bye-bye!
Hey Amanda, so let me get this straight- you say you missed your 3rd and final boat cruise in Prague, and you mentioned the first one you skipped in Prague and one in Nuremburg, but there's no mention of the Amsterdam-Rotterdam debaucle...are you telling me you actually missed 4 boat cruises? Do you have a membership card where if you miss 4, you can miss the 5th for free? Hee hee hee....don't hurt me! Luna

St. Chapelle at last!
Hey Amanda, I'm so happy that you were finally able to get into St. Chapelle! And from your photos, it seems like it really was a beautiful church, and decorated differently from the many others that we saw around Europe. So, I guess Dave called that one right, huh? So, the Moulin Rouge show- do you think you got the tier 2 or tier 3 talent, given that it was a weeknight? If I remember correctly, when our crew went, it was a Sunday night, so maybe they save the really good performers for weekends, when it's most busy, and that's why our gang enjoyed it so much? I've seen the show too, and remember it being good-not as memorable as what the others said...because quite frankly, I couldn't remember much from the show, and I've seen Cirque and other shows, and it just seemed okay. Amazing hotel location, by the way! Your friend done good, Lauralene! Luna

You used fireworks to distract the town so you could have the whole internet to yourself?
You're lucky. The burglar ninjas are from Kunta Hora. You missed them.

It's New Years?
Happy New Year!!!
7th January 2010

You found out everything Dave told you was a lie?
Chug a bunch of the cold syrup, then try taking a canal tour riding one of the swans.
7th January 2010

You became a Czech Pirate/Hotel Manager?
Now's your chance to un-steal a brick!
7th January 2010

Moulin Rouge
Yeah...I can take Moulin Rouge of my list...if I remember it is expensive also? Maybe just look at it from the outside. I am really enjoying your blog...I have a big dream of traveling one day...until then thanks for letting me tag along :) Happy Travels! Bethany
