Hello Clio and Ali,
Can't wait until you two get back on Wednesday :-)
The trekking day sounds ace, especially the elephant ride. Imagine in a different dimension Matthew could be one of the teenagers on the rafts, makes you think about all the comforts we have here.
I can't see the hospital hotel photo. Matthew's laptop has had a hard life and I'm surprised it still works at all. I'll check the photo out on the PC.
Enjoy your last few days loads xxx
Hello,
OMG, S-21 and the killing fields must have been a shocking site to see. I remember hearing on the news about the monument with the skulls being built. I was probably about 10 or 11. I only knew as much about Pol Pot as you, but I can imagine that it did give you a horrible eerie feeling.
Thankfully you've had some good times in Vietnam :-) and even better (for us) you'll be home soooooooooooooooooooooooon! xx
Hello, we stayed in Thaksin Grand home (it's on Hostelworld) which was safe, cheap and only a 10 minute walk from Krabi town (as well as being on the main bus route).
Great Ocean Road Hey there,
Happy to help! We did the great oceon road in 24 hours, but it would be more relaxing to do it in 2 days. We hired the car from 12pm, in Melbourne (use VroomVroom Vroom.com, they can get you a good price - we paid about $43) It took about 5-6 hours to drive to Port Cambell, via Geelong. We stayed in Port Cambell Hostel which was nice enough and set off at 8am to get the car back from midday the following day. You can go down the 'non-scenic' route on the way home to make it quicker. Hope this helps and enjoy!
hope u can help? Hey there, seems like u guys had a blast in australia!i'll be gg over with my bf at the end of feb and would like to ask about ur trip to Great Ocean Road. How much did u hire a car for?and how long did it take for the whole trip form geelong to port campbell and back? would really appreciate your help!
btw, if you're still in sg, let me know if i can be of any help!

justine

Must say that Oz sounds very much like Ibiza, except for the roos and distances!
Hi Clio and Ali,
I LOVE Jaffa and wish I could cuddle him too, he looks great :)
Love the drunken phone calls home too, it just has to be done, although I bet it cost a fortune. I can tell it really was a drunken night if it ended with a McDonalds, he he.
I'm glad it's so much fun and I love reading your blogs. Keep 'em coming.

Funny feeling! Isn't it strange, being in mud like that? We did it in Turkey (Clio probably remembers it) and I'm still unsure as to whether I liked it or not!
