experiencing enjoyed hearing about Cambodia +the gentleness there despite tragedy.Phoebe is so fortunate to be receiving such a unique education_+ you are so generous to let it happen XAC
experiencing So many of your experiences are similar now to mine in 70's,despite global changes.Am looking forward to Cambodian time,as i am becoming increasingly interested in Buddhism . Funny today was like being elsewhere,Jo's g/d Ella had 184 live nits in her hair so we spent much of the day de=lousing ourselves.Eventually we all hugged one another+laughed +laughed.
hello all Thanks Chris. Yes, we got your other suggestion about homestays. I've been looking out for them in India as they were recommended as a good way to travel, particularly with children.
Dave, I don't have a huge amount of control over how the blogs are displayed (the process is quite rigid). I can suggest trying another browser perhaps? Or try Easy Capture to take screen shots which you can then print out www.easy-capture.com.
Thanks everyone for reading and keeping up to date. We're in Cambodia now and I have a bit of catching up to do!!
sounds good to us Dear NAP, we are enjoying your news, it sounds as though your planning for your travels is paying off. What wonders you are seeing! All is well here. There is a media alert out for expected trouble in KL next week but I dont have any detail. We send you our love Grangi and Tom

stuff Your blogs are great. We print them off and Angela puts them into a scrap book.
But - the top left first paragraph prints only the ends of the sentences (ie the last word or two) with a blank for the rest.
Is there a text box located there that is coveing the rest of the prargraph/
If so can you remove it or reduce it

Sorry Grangi, you're quite right, it IS sexist! I hadn't thought of that. If it helps, I do keep pulling Phoebe into line, but sometimes she just gets cheeky :)
G'day Hey team! You could call yourselves the three amigos!
Man, I can't believe you tolerated RATS! I must admit Alex, I never saw you doing such a thing, and am quite impressed!
I hope the rest of your trip is far more clean, and that the lessons you learn are not quite so harsh.
Am looking forward to the last installment.
Love to you all
Chrissie
Gee that sounds like "fun" Hello Alex, Nick and Phoebe
That really is sounding challenging, but I bet Langkawi is better
Bec, Sophie, Henry and I have just returned from a conference in the USA and I believe our accomodation was a little bit less rat infested. You poor things but it is part of the colour of travelling, especially in Asia.
I hope you are all fit and well.
Cheers
Rick
Loving the blogs!!! I'm all subscribed up so keep them coming. Makes a wonderful escape from mundane life stuck in front of a computer. Perhaps they may even inspire me to save some money and go off on some wonderful adventures of my own. Hope you keep having a blast and enjoying it all.
P.S. Loving my jumper. Wore it all the next day, been too hot since so haven't worn it again :(
Spk soon
So the adventure begins... I love the whole travel blog thing Alex. I can't wait to hear more and hopefully less about rats. Enjoy Langkawi - we're going there for our honeymoon so you'll have to give us the low down.
eating At least when it rains it is not cold.
For vegetarian food, try saying: 'saya mau sayur saja' (I just want vegetables), or 'saya tidak mau/makan daging, ayam atau ikan' (I don't want/eat meat, chicken or fish).
Or you can say: 'Saya tidak makan daging, ayam atau ikan' (I don't eat ...).
Plain rice is 'nasi putih'.
Bet you'll be pleased when you are no longer in Malaysia and I can no longer offer translation advice! (Just wait until you get to France and Spain ....)
happy travels!
blog name P,A,N, Is it too late to say that my vote goes to P for a great name.? Names dont have to reflect the purpose etc of that which they name, indeed names often obtain their character or their " memorableness" from useage. I like " THE TRIP CASINO" { origin= Italian for house or cottage
Re " ageism" and the studio, what I actually said was that it is " sexist ' to speak of granny flats. If they are built specifically for elderly people they become " elderly persons units, a matter I have fruitlessly raised with housing authorities over the years.
Travel well and have fun, Love from Grangi and Grandpa Tom '
