In the morning we got the trailer all packed up to leave to Nova Scotia. After everything was all ready we set down the road towards Wood Island’s ferry terminal. Along the way we stopped at a PEI lobster dinner place to grab a quick bite, then we continued down the road to our ferry. Hoping to catch the 6:30 ferry we arrived at the terminals at 6:17 but they told us it had left already. Luckily for us though, a logging truck was behind us and the scale had radioed for him to get on so, because we were ahead of him we got to drive on up to the ferry and board. It was a beautiful day outside, a little windy though, so we got to stand outside and take some beautiful shots of ... read more

This morning we woke up to go visit the cute little village around Anne of Green Gables. We decided just to go see Green Gables instead of t and the foundation of the authors broken down house. We walked up to a small 1800s style barn and read about some different types of farm tools, and a few things about cows. After looking around in this barn we went outside to the Butter Churn cafe to get Mom and Dad a coffee and us kids got double scoops of ice cream. That ice cream didn’t last long at all though, because it sure was tasty and it was a hot day as well. Then we went to see Green Gables itself. The house had been extended since the time the author used it for the setting ... read more

We woke up to take the bridge to P.E.I. We drove to the information center just before the bridge and took a little walk to the base of it so that we could get a clear picture of the bridge. It was so long that you couldn’t see the whole way, and Dad was telling us that they actually close the bridge down on windy days so that cars don’t get blown into the Atlantic below them. It was really cool driving over the bridge, we were high enough up that we could see cormorants and other sea birds fishing, and boats going down the ocean ... all kinds of neat things. When we reached the end we spent an hour and a half at the information center and had some Subway sandwiches. Our first stop ... read more

We woke up to spend the day touring Moncton. Dad’s truck needed an oil change so he had called an made an appointment for it and we headed off to town. After a quick stop at Superstore ( with a tractor outside), Dollarama, and Cosco we headed off to a mall for Dad to get his haircut. Shaley also got a haircut and after seeing how awesome of a job it was I pulled my hair out of my bun and into an afro to get one too. Then we spent the rest of the day buying cute shoes, aviators, dresses, jeans and the coat I’ve wanted forever but Edmonton doesn’t carry. On the way back to the trailer we stopped to get fried clams. We took 2 seafood platters and a burger for Shawn to ... read more

The Day was quite dreary and really rainy so we decided to keep driving until we reached a small area in New Brunswick called Grand Falls. We pulled over into a small campsite and set up for the night. Although the weather wasn’t the best we sure saw a lot of beautiful pastures and such ... it was like being in Scotland or Ireland ... absolutely stunning. We stopped at a small wharf and talked to some lobster fishermen. After watching the fast unloading process the guys told us we could have a few lobster off the next boat for $4 a pound. Dad got 14 lobsters for $40. it was quite a deal. Then while we were driving we saw a man digging for clams. Being the curious folks that we are, we walked down ... read more

We woke up around 10 to find out we were not only parked outside of Walmart, but also a large mall, so we rushed in to get poutine. Shaley decided she wanted to order so she marched right up to the counter and when the man walked over and asked her how she was doing ( in French), her jaw dropped and she looked like she saw a ghost. He noticed she obviously didn’t speak French and asked her in English. After buying a map we all sat and tried to plan our trip, when an older man stopped and gave us directions and tips for our trip. We then left that first Walmart to another one where we were close to la metro (the subway). We then took la metro to Old Montreal. At first ... read more

We started the day off with Dad’s orders of laundry, then we went to finish off our time in Ottawa on a tour of the city on a double decker bus. The tour was really cool, we all got to sit on the top level, and listen to some cool facts. We passed 24 Sussex Drive, Little Italy and the marketplace. When the tour ended we walked to the marketplace where there are enough restaurants to have breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday for a month, without going to the same place twice ! We stopped at a cute little Vietnamese place to get some soup and vermicelli.. Then we finished off by getting a coffee at Timothy’s - Dad’s new favorite coffee shop because they have lactose free milk - and later walked Sussex drive. Our ... read more

Today we got up and took our time getting ready to drive to Ottawa. Since we had such a late night, we all slept in a little then did our laundry before setting off - after all Dad does have a bit of an obsession going on. Then we got the trailer all set and were on the road to Ottawa. There was a quick stop at Walmart/Canadian Tire and then we decided to take the “scenic route” which ended up being some nice houses in the outskirts and had no idea where we even were. Then after a few phone calls we found a campsite and headed there for the night.... read more

We spent our last day in the area walking Yonge Street, the busiest street in Toronto. Shae and I got Starbucks coffees and Mom, Dad and Shawn got some McDonald’s Cafe thingers. Then we went shopping, we spotted some cute dresses, saw some crazy looking people, and eventually bought some sneakers for Dad, Shae and me. Then we left Mom to do some shopping of her own and continued on to the Hockey Hall of Fame. In the hall we saw amazing exhibits including some on Roger Neilson, Marice ( The Rocket) Richard, Sidney Crosby featuring the net and gloves from the Olympic Gold Metal Goal, and one one the 2010-2011 Stanley Cup Playoff Finals. After looking at everything and playing some games, and watching a video about Ryan Kesler we headed upstairs to see 2 ... read more

Today we woke up and got ready to go to Niagara Falls. We had a quick breakfast and set off along the highway. When we reached Niagara the sight was absolutely unbelievable! The around the lake there was Victorian Era housing. The falls themselves were massive, with unimaginable amounts of water flowing over them - enough to fill million bath tubs every second. When you drove by them there was so much mist that clouds were formed and a light rain fell. We parked the truck and walked over to the top of the falls, where you could see the calm water flowing peacefully in Lake Eerie before its plummet down 78 feet. After spending 20 or so minutes just watching the water and taking some pictures, we walked into the main building to buy everyone ... read more
