Sounds great Hi kids. It was a great article. The part where Brian says "what in the hell" sounded just like him. We all agreed upon that. I"m glad that you're having a nice little rest before you get on with the rest of the torturous summer. Hope you get the Pequod sold soon so you can go see the coast. You'll love it. Can't wait to see you. Love ya.
Carla
Nice to hear Dear Kids,
It's so great to hear your adventures and stories. I can hardly wait to see you and hear in person more about your trip. Thank you for writing and keeping us all informed. Take care and hear from you soon. Love, Carla
Wow, what an adventure I have loved reading your blog! I can't believe you guys did it. It sounds like you ran into a lot of rain and weather along the way. It's been fun hearing about your trip but I don't envy the bugs that you encountered. It's pretty hot here now. In the 100's! Not much new at the Ridge...I guess you've already heard that they are opening a Biggest Loser Resort in Malibu, Calif. in Sept. We're all staying here. They'll get a new staff there. Take care! Sandy
Congrats!!! Dear Kids,
I'm so proud of the fact that you both set out to do something that was really adventurous, fun, a little dangerous, and something the rest of us wish we had the courage to do and you did it!!!!!!! This will be something to tell your grandkids about and the things that you have learned about life, working as a team, being happy with what you have no matter what life brings you are things that will be with you always. I'm so proud of you both and love you. Can't wait to see you. Write soon.
Love,
Mom
Oh hey, hope you fellers are continuing to have a good time. If the country is as nice looking as the previous pictures, then you should be.

p.s. thank you for the anivers card.
where are you? We're guessing you are finishing up your adventure. If you back track and find yourselves in NY state let us know. The IronMan triathlon is here in Lake Placid on July 25. You might want to hang out until them. We have 46 major mountains to climb. There's actually a 46er club.Keep in touch.
Love and prayers,
Uncle Bob and Vivian
Best Wishes from Laurie Hi Whitney,
Talked to your uncle my dad today and they told me about your travels. How fun.Good for you. Best Wishes on your travels..
Well, it happens I'm glad that you kids are OK. We don't like to lose things like that but we can always be thankful when that's all that we lose. Sounds like you're both a little tired. Maybe a nice car ride to the coast would be the ticket. I've been to the coast at Maine and it's beautiful! Lots of fresh lobster, too! Hope all goes well. Keep in touch as you can. Love you both, Carla
Spencer Stream I've been reading you're blog as you've gone along, and enjoyed it immensely. But I had to comment on your ascent of Spencer Stream: Way to go! Many through paddlers have gotten rides around it, but you toughed it out. I'm impressed. I am a section-paddler, and did the portion of Spencer Stream in 2008; I had a better time of it, I think, since I was solo-paddling my canoe and was able to pole up most of the way to the pond without getting out of the boat.
Good call to get a ride around the rest of the South Branch Dead...I did that one at practically ideal water levels, and could see the lower rapids would be a real bear in lower water.
Good luck the rest of the way! -Chuck
That's such a bummer! I'll see whaT I can do about getting you another camera, but as everyone say's, it's not the camera it's the pictures. Be careful letting Brian eat too much icecream, I worry more for you than him ;) love you guys!!!
Sounds great You guys are doing great! I think I would have given in a long time ago. I'm happy that you're having so much fun and meeting so many people. Sounds like a great experience. Call when you can, Love you both. Mom
So glad you guys are doing well. The bugs on your tent gave me the WORST heebie-jeebies. I hope there aren't too many of those encounters for you! Love you guys, I can't wait to see you! Continue to be safe.

jurnaled. You have traveled through some of the most beautiful country in the U.S., NY, NH, Vt. and Maine. We hope the weather gets better and yu both are safe...in fact we pray for you. God Bless you both, Love, Bob and Vivian
SWEEEEET! Great reading! Thanks for the play by play. Sounds like you guys are having an awesome experience. Took my canoe out to Gunlock "Pond" last sunday with my wife and 2 dogs. Had a blast. I did all the paddling with a Kayak paddle. It worked really sweet! Can't wait to hear more of your adventure. Pam, Dave and I are really excited for you. Right on Ahab and Starbuck! May the winds be with you!
You two amaze me! Well hello! I have just now been able to sit down and read your blog (all the way through!) - it sounds like quite an adventure!! What great memories you two are making - I think it's wonderful. This BLOG is a fantastic idea. I haven't figured out how to see your pictures yet - but I will give it another look when I finish here. I hope you two continue enjoying your adventure (for the most part anyways...some of it sounds exhausting!!!) and please be safe! I look forward to reading your next entry. Paddle on... - Heidi

Love you, Carla
