Welcome Back! Your plan sounds good. Looking forward to reading your blogs. China and SE Asia should be easier on the budget than Australia and NZ. So, make sure you leave some to extend your trip. And while you're at it, swing by Manila! Safe travels to both of you.
Xi'an So, in Xi'an, one of the oldest cities in the world, there are a couple of things you need to do. 1: go see the terracotta warriors. 2. Go to a dumpling house. When you get inside the "wallled" part of the city, there is a big pagoda in the middle of a traffic circle. One of the corners of the roads that intersect that has a dumpling house that was to die for.
Make sure you make it to Perth Hey Kathie,

Admiration Thank you so very much for sharing your adventures. I cann't put into words the admiration I have for you two. Know that your willness to share your adventures are so very much appreciated. All the very best for having the courage to live life in the true spirit. LOL xoxoxo Joyce Beshara
The trek itself was very difficult for the group that we visited. Other groups were a lot easier to find. I'm guessing they will try to put you with this group. But be warned, it will still be tough.
Gorillas I just looked at your pictures of your trekking the gorillas they are wonderful. I will be going to Rwanda in Aug., which is the dry season. I am a senior with some problems with walking and was wondering if you could give me a little insight to how hard it really is to walk. The tour company I am going with said it would be a 1 1/2 hour hike in and 1hr stay with 1 1/2 hour trek back. I am worried that I won't be able to do the trek.

Good Comment I visited the Parc January 2009. The road N 1 is really a challange (and ony a few parts seem in construction). It seesm as to hinder tourists to com.
But once in the park it was great! We enjoyed it ver much!

Brings back memories! Dear Jordan and Kathie,
I remember when I was just 7 or 8 years old and my father (who loves the experience of safaris) and I visited the Ngorongoro Crater and still today, that one visit is by far one of the main highlights of my life! You two seem very adventurous and keen to view animals in their natural habitat. I hope to experience Ngorongoro for the second time this summer. I wish you all the best in your travels and hope that you continue to upload photos of such journeys.
Well done guys! Hey there you two. So you are finally finished then?! Your photos are absolutly awesome guys and put mine to shame! Great to hear you had a ball. It must have been life changing. Now its back to work to save for the next adventure hey!! Was great to meet you two in Africa. Hope to hear from you soon. Lots of love, Jacko and Cinz.
welcome home Thank you sooooo very much for sharing this journey with me and probably all your readers! I'm not sure how many of us would ever have the opportunity to do this journey, although to see it through your eyes was amazing and very very appreciated! Thank you once again for keeping the blog up and posting your awesome pictures!
amazing If you're anything like my brother, you'll ask your friends to start you a fundraiser to keep you out of Canada!! Wow, no kidding this would be one of the trip's highlights!!
playgrounds That ocean looks like a gigantic playground for the whales, or are the actually looking for food? It's amazing that you could get such great shots of them!
Hi!
Welcome to our travelblog page. We initally called ourselves "AfricaBound" because we spent a year traveling around Africa from August 2007 to August 2008. At that time, little did we even think that we could go on another extended trip. Somehow through much perseverance and determination we were able to save up for yet another extended trip, this time as sort of a honeymoon. Our current itinerary has us traveling from July 2010 until December 2011 through Central Asia, China, New Zealand, Australia and then back up to SE Asia, Nepal, India and then finally Japan.
