A comment :) Tokyo looks great, especially the first lot of photos. The photos of you at the maid cafes are great. No sure about the fish market - I bet that stunk. Think I would like to see Tokyo.
Seedy maids? Hi Ads and Lou,
I have some questions:
1) Was that whole building just for kareoke?
2) How much taller was Ads to the rest of the pop?
3) How seedy is seedy?
4) Is there really a tacky cat stuck on top of a beautiful temple?
5) Is it as densely packed as it looks?
See email for comments on pics and bring on the next!
Hi Emma, I hope you are ok in sunny OZ
1)yes and it was massive
2) its like guilivers travels when I visit asia
3) its more cringy than seedy, if you want seedy they do that in Shinjuka there are loads of strip clubs and love hotels, it has the biggest red light district in asia, which is no mean feat.
4)That is a Japanese prayer cat and if you look again its actually a small sign in the market but took the shot like that as those cats are everywhere
3) 30million people live in Tokyo area, plus load of Japanese tourist as it was new years it was packed, london has around 8 mil people
Next blog is for Kyoto

ooooo pretty Hiya
I saw i had an update to look at! Those pics are sooooo pretty with the rainbow on the spray. you were so brave cos i would never jump or abseil or anything like that. Maybe i am just a big old chicken!
Em
wowsers part 3 Villages 9 and 12 too. really feels so mediterranean and i can almost see the old geezers playing cards and drinking coffee! reminds me of small portuguese villages.
Hi Emma
The panoramic ones are three photos stitched together as my lens was not wide enough for the image.
Ronda 21 as with the really colourful photos are taken using HDR. Which is where you take bracketed shots them merge them making sure you get the full spectrum of colour
Wowsers part 2 So my favs are panaramic ones of alhambra and the night one of it and i really like the light on the mosaic ones.
Other favs are the villages ones and Ronda 21. Did you use any filters or anything? I might get a print of one of them if that is ok?
My visit to Basil I visited Salvador de Bahia and I enjoyed my visit and tour. I will return.
We went with locals and really got a chance to see the city. Nice! I loved it.
The poverty was hard. I wish I had an address to send help, the postal office the locals sent was not clear they would get the gifts.
I cant believe it's over! No more blog! No! I demand more! Am so glad you have had a great time but i am bummed that i will have to wait until the next time you two get itchy feet for more blogging!
Hope to skype you soon
Orange trees Hi there
Did you know that Laranjeiras means orange trees? It is also an area in Lisbon and i used to teach a class there. I cant believe you are at the end. Did you watch Brazil v Portugal? What a boring match. England v Germany tomorrow night.......
Dont go into the favellas in Rio. They are so dangerous. Have a great time though. What day do you fly home?
Poor Thomas Hi,
It does look like a really good place to visit. I love the perspective phots - they're really good. Who took them, and how far back were you?
Looks cold Hello again,
You look very cold in some of those photos. Looks very nice though, although the ledge in photo 21 didn't look very secure. The llamas look cute - did you stroke any?
