I remember it well Hi Ali,
I remember my trip to Rome and we too had a local person touring us about.
I also had the fondling bus experience as well as in a public place, I think we would have had to stay longer than we did to get better at dealing with it.
On the train on the way out we met an older Italian man who gave us lecture about understanding a culture when you visit and explained young Italian men to us. I still found it hard to buy,

Rome pics great! Hi Ali: I love to see you in your various holiday pictures - it's almost like being there - well not quite but it's lovely to see you and I love your photos. See you soon.
Love, Mom
ah! Ali, read the post and that sucks! I hope that the cast coming off went well, lets talk again soon my friend. I love seeing all your photos, you have a way of writing and a good eye!
Sounds like fun It sounds like a lot of fun! Do you still manage to fit in some work? I'm assuming you do to have money for all these great deals. A future career might be to take some of us who aren't as adventurous and show us how to do this kind of working life.

Wow! Hey Platypuss,
Wow, this entry made me think of Eat, Pray, Love, when she's in Italy meeting incredible people and eating even more incredible food. I loved the picture of the padlocks, things like that get to me, the eternal romantic! I am so happy for you. Keep the entries coming!
Oh my! Platypuss! You broke your wrist? I can't believe it, you poor beautiful midget! Haha! So what are they going to make you do if you can't drive? I suggest tap dancing lessons.
Miss you. Quebec isn't the same without you.
love it hi ali ....i am loving your blog...feels like we are on the journey with you ....you are an excellent writer.....you may give your big brother a run for his money in the journalism department.....and yes you were a terrorist as a child.....love aunt judy
Po girl Glad to see you've recovered! Nice shots. Looks like Torino was quite an experience. Funny that there's picture of people who don't want their picture taken on the Internet. You intrepid reporter!
Be careful with the picture taking m'dear! Don't want you to get arrested for pictures of a protest and oranges! Haha! Great pictures though, very beautiful. I'm happy you are getting good discipline lessons with Gaia, which will definitely come in handy once you're running around in a kindergarten classroom! Is she named after the Goddess, do you know?
Good to read some news from you, and sorry to hear about the food poisoning!
Much love,
OOE
p.s. I cannot imagine you being a "little terrorist", did you have a personality surgery in your adult life or something? You are so quiet!!
Loving your entries so far. I really hope everything gets settled at the Italian office thing-a-ma-gig! You really seem to be positive about it all and enjoying yourself! The photos are breath-taking. I\'m very happy you have not yet been killed in a car accident or mauled by a wild hog. Hahaha! Come back to us in one piece please!
Love,
OOE
To Italy and beyond! For the next 6 months I will be living and working in Biella, Italy as an au pair. I plan to pack as much travelling into these 6 months as possible and I have decided to document my experience for friends, family and anyone else who wishes to read about my adventures. Feel free to leave comments and suggestions on places I should visit, I would love to hear your thoughts. Enjoy!... full info
