Sunbed row Oh that made us laugh and reminds us of the palaver in Europe with sunbed bagsie-ing that certain nationalities seem to think is necessary ;). That Italian guy sounds hilarious stirring things up! Glad you avoided the Surat Thani transport scammers, seriously, that city is renowned for the transport scams!
Angela, please tell me......... David did not play crazy golf wearing sandals with red socks........ and then he wonders why the locals keep grinning at him
Prik mak mak! Loosely translated, David Cotton is cruising around Thailand in beige chinos and a cowboy shirt telling the locals how much he loves Prik........ now that's what I call a mid-life crisis
20 years married!! Where does the time go?.........Well Angela you have not changed a bit. As for David, he doesn't appear to have changed his wardrobe. I bet those biege chinos weren't retro when he bought them
Cheers Ed!! Very good as always my friend. You better get used seeing the beige chinos for the next couple of months as I've only got 2 pairs of pants with me!!
Hope you're well mate,

BLOG Hello fellow travellers of Asia.
Loving the blog (as always) and we've 'warmed' Koh Samui up for you nicely !
Having spent a week on Samui, we're currently in Koh Phangan and would definitely recommend a visit here - particularly to the Anantara Hotel - basic, tropical and laid back like Thailand should be.
Enjoy the rest of your travels and keep the stories coming.
Catch up soon.
Laa gon krap.
Ol & Lisa
PS. Laab Gai is the future (if you didn't already know).
Great to hear from you Hi both,
Thanks for the update and glad to hear you're having a good time. Angela is currently checking out the Anantara as it sounds perfect for us - oh, she's just found the price, good one!! ;-)
Do know about Laab and love it. Will be eating plenty of it when in Thailand as need to try and eat healthily. Take care both and keep in touch,
ACDC
Jealous You sound as if everything is on track and you are having a brilliant time. I am so envious and wish I could be with you for some of your experience. Just watch the airports you just may catch a glimpse of me.
Blog Hi there u two! Sorry I keep missing the FT calls! Love reading your blog, u both look so happy. Girls love all the pics, send any extra through to email please. Xxc caroline
There are certain things in life that are simply wrong.......... David Cotton on a bicycle is one of them (especially when dressed like Tom sellek). David Cotton 'boogie boarding' is another. This list is by no means exhaustive.
But beaches with palm trees, pop-up bars and cold beer........ things in life that are simply right
By the way I think your minicab driver used to be the delivery man at my local chinese takeaway..... fortunately I think satay goes well with anything
A magnum could have been anything... It could also have been a gun, which is the first thing that popped into my head. Definitely useful for keeping pin numbers safe!
My kind of lifestyle ......... drinking beer and eating freshly made spring rolls at 10:30 in the morning. I mean I regularly have a beer in the morning but Wetherspoons don't do spicy banana leaves (at least I don't think they do)
Now I can empathize with Angela drifting off when David is talking. It happens to me too. When David starts to talk I think now God please concentrate but literally within seconds I am somewhere else. On a positive note I think its more down to what he has to say rather then the monotonous tone of his voice; if that's any help Angela?
Oh and I have spotted a tentative link between an ageing American and a Magnum. Tom Selleck, an ageing American, played the part of Magnum in the 1980's series Magnum PI..... now some people might say 'ah, but Tom Selleck wasn't an ageing American when he filmed the series, but those people are just sad and need to get out more! x
In The First Entry I did say you're not allowed to make comments, Ed.
However, they're as witty and incisive as they always are from you so will do this time ;-) ......hope you're well mate.

Hope Big J doesn't mind me commenting!! You two need your own travel show :) Lots of Love...Tracey (Usually mithering Angela about Sage ) xx
Great to have you along Trace Hadn't even thought of the gun angle for the Magnum!! Let me know if you have any Sage questions that need answering and I'll pass them on to Angela ;-) all the best - dc.

I have enjoyed following your travels...
and agree completely that mangoes and sticky rice are the best dessert going!
