I wish I knew where the sculpture is located in San Antonio Perhaps someone else will be able to identify the sculpture's location. It had to be somewhere near the River Walk. We had taken the bus down to that area and wandered on foot seeing the sites.
Appreciation I love hearing about your travels - reminds me of the good old days when Wally was still here and we were able to travel around in our little camper. We had such fun. Do continue to enjoy yourselves - the day comes all too soon when for one reason or another, you won't be able to enjoy anything but your memories. Love you. Penne
Redwood National Park I took my annual pilgrimage up Highway to revisit one of my favorite places to be on the planet that is Redwood National Park. The feeling i got while wandering through old-growth redwood forests. Everything is so big, misty, and primeval that you can’t help but expect to spot a dinosaur munching on giant ferns. California contains the most spectacular redwood forests in the world—including the world’s tallest trees—yet it always amazes me how few Californians have experienced one of nature’s grandest displays. http://www.wildlifeworld360.com/redwood-national-park.html
Are you sure If not a yucca then what? It didn't have the fiberous strings that I have seen so often with yuccas. It was the first time I had seen a "tree-like" form. I am amazed when I search the web how many different species there are and how they vary in size.
Wow What a beautiful trip through the redwoods! Magnificant. Joyce and I were always going to make that trip but fate intervened.
Maybe still someday. Take care in your travels!
The pictures are wonderful Wow, you two......you are getting to be excellent photographers. I would think some of those of the Big Sur could be entered iin competition. Sounds like you're having a wonderful winter. Glad you let me come along a little with your journal and pictures. What a wonderful journey! Stay well and safe! Hugs
Hi Hi Lynne,
I enjoyed reading your blog. It sounds like you have enjoyed your winter. We can't believe how fast it has gone, with us enjoying Spring already. We have a lot of fun down here in our winter mobile home in Florida. The park here has so many activities going on. Bob is playing bocce now. He really enjoys it. I will do water aerobics again tomorrow.
Take care,
Connie
WOW What a place, LasVegas. I've never been there, not much desire to go there but it looks like fun. Glad you are enjoying your winter traveling. Hope you are missing all the bad storms and cold weather. Happy Valenine's Day! Take care.
re: Joshua tree It's good to hear from you. These are great pictures. I wish we were there too, although it is going to warm up into the thirties next week here.
What an adventure!!!! Your descriptions as usual, Lynne are so perfect! Not too much but just enough to peak my interest and wish I could
venture into the places your photos and words take your blog readers....
Many thanks for taking the time to share......
Florida Great to read your blog. We drove through Quartzite once and Del wouldn't stop. He was headed to Calif. for a rally, When I look at your map, I can't believe you haven't been to Florida. We are having a great winter, in the 70s & 80s. Have a good trip and drive safe.

I've been to San Antonio many times and have never seen that red sculpture. Where was it in San antonio?
