Here's a quick look at the route I took through South East Asia, for those of you who are interested 😊
Starting in the North of Vietnam in Hanoi and heading down to Saigon, taking in Sapa, Halong Bay, Nha Trang and Hoi An along the way. Then up to Cambodia (Phnom Penh, the beach town of Kep and the temples of Angkor near Siem Reap). Across to Thailand : Bangkok, Pattaya, Ratchburi, then North to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Chiang Khong... A loop through Laos (Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, Vientiane) and back to the south of Thailand for Khao Lak, Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, Krabi and Koh Tarutao.
Then across the border to Malaysia, with a stop in the Cameron Highlands, down to Singapore and then back up to Melaka. A flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching on Borneo, and then overland across Sarawak into Brunei. From there to Kota Kinabalu, up the mountain and back down to Sandakan and the orangutans in Sepilok.... Some amazing diving amongst the giant green turtles in Mabul/Semporna, and back to Kota Kinabalu again in time for a flight to... Brisbane !
