So far everywhere we have been in Vietnam has been amazing and we were only half way down the country. Unfortunately Anna had caught the flu and we didn't manage to see much of Hoi An and after the overnight bus to Nha Trang, it was my turn to catch the flu.
We arrived pretty early in to Nha Trang which seemed like a really nice place as we drove along the beach front and even at 5.30 am the streets and beach were packed full of locals taking an early morning stroll, doing some exercise classes or taking a swim. It's amazing in Vietnam how early people get up and start the day, whole cities are in full swing by 7am.
We got in to our room and immediately hit the sack till about 10am. Most of the day was pretty low key. We grabbed lunch and took a brief walk to the beach which looked quite good with some islands in the distance. We looked at doing a tour that included some snorkelling, but in our nose blocked state it wasn't going to be wise spending it in the water.

Thank god for the televisions in the hotel rooms, we spent the rest of the next day basically in the room all day, only going out to book our bus to Dalat and getting some dinner. That day for me was pretty rough, in all sorts of discomfort, sore body, runny/blocked noise, headaches and very tired from lack of sleep. Poor Anna was in a little state too, so we looked like a pair of half dead people, unable to move.

The next morning we had to rise early to catch the 4 hour bus to Dalat in the Central Highlands. The drive was quite nice, very green. We arrived checked in to the hotel that the bus arrived in to and spent the next two days resting and trying to get over this damn flu. We managed to walk to the lake in Dalat which was almost similar to the lake in Sapa, only bigger and no mountain backdrop.

So this blog is rather uninformative and bland due to the crappy circumstances, but all the rest gave us time to recover and prepare us for Mui Ne which we were looking forward to hitting the beach and sand dunes.
