31 July - 19 August: Ahh Vietnam. The endless months of dreaming of edible food, gorgeous landscapes and pretending I'm not really American (we opted for Swiss German... what, it's funny!)... I have to say, we were not prepared for the tourism circus that is Vietnam. And the food is really not what I expected... everything is deep fried! Huh? These were the Cham temple ruins outside of Hue. After surviving a thousand years, bombing during the Vietnam War toppled these temples, leaving them in ruins.

We hopped into cyclos (bicycle-powered rickshaws)for a visit to the imperial city.

Couldn't agree more. Just got into the worst argument with a deceitful mototaxi driver here in Hanoi. Should've gone to Laos and drank BeerLao by the river! Wish I were there with you guys!
