After 15 hours of travel, we stepped into the humidity and a chaos ruled by swarms of motorbikes. Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon as the locals prefer).

It was your typical travel experience getting to the hostel; ripped off and paying double what we should have for the taxi and then a late check in aided by a couple of local brews as the old hotel manager hadn't updated her book keeping for decades. We ducked the low lying ceiling and weaved up the 9 flights of stairs to our room which ironically was on the same floor as the washing machine. We each carried up our washing machine (the Scrubba wash bag) weighing 145g whilst some poor person had to tackle a massive top loader weighing over 40 kgs the whole way up the same winding maze.

Anyway, with only one change of clothes for the next day, it was time to wash off results of 15 hours travel. The Scrubba wash bag's first test in South East Asia!

With clothes cleaned and rinsed, we strung them up on our Scrubba pegless clothesline between the hostel bunks and called it a night.

I was a little worried that clothes would take too long to dry in the high humidity of South East Asia. However, packing light weight clothes, coupled with a travel clothes line and a room fan, the clothes we washed with the Scrubba wash bag were dry in a matter of hours. Traveling with only 2 changes of clothes may not be as hard as we predicted
Seven hours later, we awoke ready to explore Ho Chi Minh with all our clothes clean and dry. Sweet!
