Bryan off in his Cyclo
Hi happy readers

Well after a restful sleep it was time to plan our week out. With a couple of tours now booked for mid week we decided today we would do something different. We organised With the front desk to book some Cyclo’s (Rickshaw) for us for the afternoon. We needed one each so they agreed to come collect us as apparently there are some suburbs they are not allowed into I guess due to the heavy traffic. So we had lunch then at 1pm we agreed on a price for 2 hours and off we went a half hour trip one way across the city to the Women’s Museum. After all the war stories and sites we had been to I thought this might show a different side to the local women and how they coped during those years. Well we didn’t really get to see all that we wanted as there was only 1 floor of the 3 open due to major renovations. But we saw enough to understand the women were trained up in everyway the same as the men. They were tortured even if they were pregnant and killed as well losing the baby. It

Past the long building of the People’s Committee Hall
really shows the horror that was only years ago while I was in high school that all aspects of this country was involved in. After that we then had a long ride back as we had more time so we went past various places we had been the day before. The traffic was a bit full on at times when large buses are honking there horns to get past and motorbikes flying past us. But we got back to the hotel injury free with a chuckle over another thing to cross off the list.

We had a rest for a couple of hours as we had arranged to see a water puppet show then go on a river cruise for dinner and some local music and dance. We all enjoyed the water puppets as they were controlled by some very talented puppeteers and even though it was all played out in Vietnamese language you could still understand the concept of what was happening and laughed at times. They travel all around the world and are very famous.

The van finally had us tired but home.

Night all

So here we are turning left so before the corner we just get into the left lane. But the lights changed ahead so all the motor bikes that take off from the lights were coming straight at us

Interesting concept. The brakes are that knob on a stick that the driver uses with his left hand behind him to apply when needed. Just pull it up or push it down
