Do you live near a Spotlight Store? If you do I would love your help purchasing wool for the Lifestart Foundation Workshop. We will reimburse you of course - as we have to buy wool during the sale and clearance time it is not always possible to get the products we are looking for. Spotlight have a sale on this weekend! You can find out where your nearest store is in Australia (97 stores) or New Zealand (17 stores) on the Spotlight websites. There is also one store in Singapore .

The Lifestart Foundation Workshop in Hoi An has several women with disabilities who knit and crotchet beautiful scarves, hats and shawls. These women who were previously unemployed, who had a bleak history and an even worse future to look forward to now earn a sustainable income from their knitted and crocheted products. Being part of the team at Lifestart Foundation Workshop has been a life changing experience for these women.

Every year I eagerly wait until Spotlight have their 50%!o(MISSING)ff wool and yarn sale and then my trusty helper Marelyn Mc Donald and myself tear around to every Spotlight store possible and buy up as much as is available at clearance prices. Last season, armed with confidence, I purchased 100's of balls of wool that I knew were already proven sellers in our workshop.

I am looking for shoppers who would be happy to visit their local stores to look for the following wools to help us as we can never find the quantities we need at our local stores. You can also download this list for printing here .

Moda Vera Cynthia - All colours - Maximum price of $0.75 cents AUD per ball
Moda Vera Gabriella - Black & White - Maximum price of $1 AUD per ball
Patons Wilderness - All colours- $3 AUD per ball
Moda Vera Parade - Colours 04, 18, 33, 43, 70, 71, 82 - Maximum price $2 AUD per ball
Moda Vera Parade - Colours 84 & 85 - Maximum price $1 AUD per ball
Bella Baby Parade - Colours 11, 28 and 69 - Maximum price $2 AUD per ball
Moda Vera Ciara - Colours - 01, 03, 04 and 05 - Maximum Price $1 AUD per ball

Please purchase the wool for us at no more than the price I have listed, keep your receipt and I will reimburse you. These prices are based on what I paid last season.

I purchase the wool from Spotlight for several reasons, firstly their range is terrific and there is nothing to compare with their products in Vietnam. Secondly their sale and clearance prices are great and thirdly it makes our products harder to copy if I bring in the wool from Australia.

We have to purchase at clearance or sale time as the paying the full retail price would mean the profitability on each scarf, hat or shawl unfeasible. It usually takes the ladies at least a day to make each item and the most expensive hand knitted product at the workshop is only $12. Therefore it is important to keep the costs as low as possible.
