Hoi An was rather small and extremely touristy. There were quite a few tailors lined across the streets and the weather was pretty nice. The architecture was quite impressive, especially along the river.
I traveled to Hue the next day, where the weather had taken a turn for the worse. I spent four hours on a bus ride admiring the scenery and then, due to confusion surrounding the ticket to Hanoi, there wasn't much time to look around. In those few hours, I saw the citadel and that was pretty cool. There were two elephants and a lot of reconstruction of "the forbidden purple city."
