On arrival in Mui Ne, we were dropped off at the dragonfly, with relatively little hassle - faint!
There was a large restaurant attached to the front of the hotel, the rooms were freshly decorated, we had a double bed each, AC, a window, a TV that worked and a fridge = happy days!

Now the place itself is more like a strip, and is full of very large and expensive resorts (the russians like it here for some reason!), shops selling EXACTLY the same things, practically next door to eachother and restaurants and bars. We went for a walk that first afternoon, to find some food and see what was about. After a 30 min walk, we came to the conclusion, not much was about and the restaurants were all pretty much the same! We did however find an alley down to the beach (without having to cut through a posh place!) It was windy, which explains the kite surfers paradise, but the sands were golden and the sea blue... i was happy to be on a non city beach again!

That night, as it was steph's birthday, we had a big night out for her at 'The Wax Club' that we had read about in Lonely Planet. It being a wednesday, meant that the place was not rammed as was described, however a good night was had by all i think.... there was a ring of fire, boggof cocktails, CHEAP vodka and good music with an empty dance floor! We took over the place! Some by the end of the night had had a little too many.... some went skinny dipping, some spewed, some went somewhere only their alcoholic memories will forget and I was fine 😊 merry but fine!

The following day of course not much was achieved by anyone, although some damn good food was eaten. The only activity of the day, was a 18 hole crazy golf course! I was the only one that got a hole in one (yay) and No. 4 was a bastard as ever (mum and dad will understand that one!) but with a grp of 7 of us going round as one, it was a little tedious! I did not lose and I did not win, so i was happy with that!

Hopefully Saigon will hold a little more on the activities front, but it is nice to chill on a beach without the worry that you are missing out on something else you should be seeing!
