Sapa is a little village in the mountains of northern Vietnam, which was a fabulous and fascinating destination. The village over-looks a plunging valley of cascading rice terraces and has mountains towering above the town on all sides. The view of this epic scenery is in the morning with a thick mist rolling in the valleys, but disappear along the day. Everyday local hill-tribes fill the town with colour and follow the tourist proposing hikes to their villages. These local people come from different places in the mountains and come from different tributes. We can recognize them at the different cloths they are wearing.

We decided to go on a one day hike through the beautiful rice terraces of the Lao Cai province and visted theirs local villages. During our hike we had some Hmong women that were very persistent traders and followed us during the whole hike, helped us on the more difficult parts as final aim to sell us handicrafts. Some of them were old ladies and some of them were even carrying a baby on their back. It was also extraordinary to hear how good they could speak English compared to the bigger cities of Vietnam. We were

very lucky as on the day of our hike their was a local festival to celebrate the new season. All the locals were wearing their traditional clothes and playing games. The guide we had was really good, as he took us to places that weren't too touristic which made the walk even better! Before taking the night bus to Laos, we went for a beautiful walk in the mountains passing the market of the Cat-Cat village. We really enjoyed our last days in Vietnam and were happy to end it in such a beautiful place.
