In march 2019, we went with a family on a trip to Vietnam. Our group consisted of me, a spouse, a son of 5 years and my mom. We chose the flight from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) by Aeroflot. We decided to make our way from south to north along the coast. The first item was Saigon. We arrived early in the morning, the city greeted us with the stifling and humid air, a crowd of people and a furious movement. However, as in most cities of Southeast Asia. Booked in advance the transfer from the hotel, chose a hotel in the tourist center, close to the main attractions. It was called Brilliant Hotel. The hotel is located in a nondescript side street, among other buildings. Very modest hotel. But we are only at night, so do not bother. Although, to be honest, in this stuffiness I really wanted to plunge into the pool, which was not in our hotel. In the center I did not see any hotels with a pool, they were all somewhere on the outskirts. And we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City not to sit in a hotel, but to see the city. We settled only at 12, so a few hours had to shove around the neighborhood, look around. After settling out for a walk. Already dusk, went to the famous Ben Thanh market. Honestly expensive there. They bought some souvenirs, but in the course of their further journey they realized that they had bought expensively. For a tick, you can go. After the market went to the observation deck in the tower Bitexco. For our son, we take
safesound personal alarm, cause we hear, that the Vietnam are very criminal county, so to protect him, we decide to buy this gadget.
All this was near the hotel, went on foot. Observation deck is good, entrance is paid. We looked at the night city, worth a visit.
The next day, we went to the Heaps (Kuti) tunnels. This is a place in the jungle, where the guerrilla war with America. Agreed in advance with the local Russian-speaking guide. He took us by car, drove about 2 hours. This place has made an indelible impression on us! That's for sure must see !!! It was very interesting to visit and listen to the guide. Themselves tried to get into these tunnels, hiding in the pits, though it is available only slim))
After the tunnels, we went for a walk around the city, saw the main architectural sights (the Post Office, the Ho Chi Minh monument, etc.)
In the evening we already had a bus (slip-bass) in Nha Trang. Slip bass is a night bus in which the bed seats together. We drove at night about 6 hours. In principle, a comfortable bus, the most important thing is inexpensive. This is the most budget way to get to Nha Trang. We slept all night, and in the morning we arrived in Nha Trang. Even our son enjoyed this trip.
In Nyachang booked apartments across the road from the beach. Stayed there for 5 nights. In Nha Trang, we rented a bike, drove to the Ponagar towers, to the Long Son pagoda.
It is interesting to see, near the towers cool pictures turned out)) We went on an excursion to Dalat. It was a great trip! Be sure to advise you to go! Were there in Prenn Park (gardens, waterfalls, riding on elephants)
And of course we chose a separate day to visit the entertainment park Winperl. Cable dear over the sea - just super! The truth had to stand in a huge queue to get on it. The park itself is huge, a lot of entertainment, water park, beach, attractions. In general, there is not exactly bored. Especially if you travel with children, you need to go there!
The next destination on our trip was the city of Hoi An. We also got to him on the slip-bass. More like a village, very distinctive, ancient and very cozy town. There we liked the most. Virtually no Russians (we have not seen one), mostly Australians, New Zealanders. The city has an old part, it was very beautiful and interesting to walk there.
We stayed of course closer to the sea, in the guest house Seasnails. Five minutes walk from the beautiful, deserted beach.
We seemed to come to the village, the roosters woke us in the morning, silence, peace, gorgeous sea. We spent there 4 days and this holiday was remembered to us most of all! I definitely advise you to go there if you like a secluded and relaxing holiday. There is a cafe on the beach with very tasty and fresh food, the people are all very friendly, even the merchants are not annoying. We enjoyed communicating with the locals. The owners of the guest house gave us bracelets for health and good luck when we left.
From Hoi An we went to Da Nang by taxi, the distance between the cities is small, it takes no more than an hour to go. Unfortunately, by this time the son fell ill, the temperature rose. Therefore, the planned excursions could not be realized. Planned to go to the marble mountains and the Bana Hills. By the way, then at Bana Hills there was not this amazing bridge with gigantic hands. In Da Nang, we saw only the Golden Dragon Bridge, which is located in the city itself. We stayed there for 2 nights at the King’s Finger hotel, 7 minutes walk to the sea. The hotel is good. Swimming pool on the roof, with a gorgeous view of the sea.
The beach in Da Nang is great! Wide, long stripe with white soft sand. Again, there are no Russians)) We went to the beach in the morning, there were practically no people. Beauty! But in the evening, at 4 o'clock, they decided to walk to the sea again, and there they saw it !! Several buses brought Chinese tourists, so there was nowhere for the apple to fall! And all the Chinese swam in the same place where they were brought, there they swam)) If you go further, the beach was also free. But the sight of course is very funny! So, we only remembered Da Nang by the beach and the sea, unfortunately, without having realized our plans. But when traveling with a child, you need to be ready for this. A couple of days later, we boarded a local airline and flew from Da Nang to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. This was our final point. We have already pretty tired, to be honest. Yes, and on the inspection of Hanoi, we had only one day. Therefore, we only managed there to walk through the mall to buy souvenirs home. Prices were good. And walked to the lake Hoan Kiem. Well, what can I say about the lake, a central tourist place, full of restaurants and shops. The lake itself is dirty, with muddy water and an unpleasant smell. Well, that's all, the next day Aeroflot sent us back to our homeland. Thus ended our wonderful journey through the mysterious country of Vietnam. We liked everything, there are a lot of interesting things in Vietnam, beautiful beaches and the sea, interesting culture, history, friendly people and beautiful landscapes. In the next trip to this country I would like to visit the island of Phu Quoc.
