Hey Y'all,
I'm sorry it's been a while since my last blog, I'm sure you're all getting withdrawl symptoms by now.
Quickly commenting on Uzbekistan - The leader there, Karimov has done a superb job making the country's antiquities shiny and clean and rather redone to say the least. The official ticket prices are ludriocrous, but do not fear, the security guards have got wind of this and so you can bribe them for all the major sights!! Haha!
Samandkand is a great example of Timurid architecture but my favourite bit about it was playing Nard(variant on backgammon) with double Vodka for each double rolled with Pol, the man who swapped my fake converse for Quencha hiking boots!! Haha!
Here it is, some might say debauched, some would say happy days - I say a healthy balance is very important.
Crossing the border to Kazakhstan was also a great experience with Xavi, where in no-man's land we found a custom official's cafe, we went in, playing the blustering tourist with no language skills, ordering lagman and soup. Eventually after the suprise of all the immigration police we were served, and a good lunch it was too!! Haha!

A Castle crumbles back to the earth of whence it came I think that's about it for Uzbekistan.
