Instead of going to the farm this morning I tidy up across the front of our wall facing the road. People here are always shocked to see a farang out working but not nearly as shocked as I would be to see some of these folks getting off their lazy fat arses and doing something constructive themselves !!
In the afternoon I move to the back garden where Jai has cut half of her mat grass. This is another 'surprise' for most of the locals. Oh look, you are so lucky to have vegetables etc in your garden. Its not luck, its because we work and plant stuff then take care of it ... duh !
I have to admit that this does seem like a neverending job at this time each year, creating a garden from the wilderness that it becomes during the rainy season ... but its worth it.
Take my weekly walk up the road to phone in to Gloucester.
