Into Phon Thong this morning to fill the empty cupboards then out to the farm ready to thresh the rice. Everyone is there waiting and soon we are up and running. Brother Yut is providing the thresher this year. It is late morning and hot work under the already burning sun. When all is finished Jai ends up with about 50 x 30kg sacks. Her arrangement with her nephew was to go 50:50 on the harvest as he did all the work sdo we will see what actually arrives back at the house later. I return home in advance for a much needed cold shower and some food. Tia arrives early afternoon with his tractor carrying 14 sacks of boiling rice and 9 of sticky rice. Last year when we were here to do most of the work or at least supervise she ended up with 100 sacks this year 23 so she is not too pleased. Her 2 sisters are in the same boat as well.
