Wake at midnight to watch the first half of St Etienne v Man Utd. Result in the bag by half time so go back to sleep.
News this morning is that Jai's nephew's wife, Boo, has gone into labour in the early hours, is now in hospital, and should be producing another rugrat later today.
Into Phon Thong and drop Jai off at the hair salon before going to the internet to wait. I finish what I needed to do so goto see how she is getting on. One of the girls at the salon tells me that Jai has finished there already. I phone her but get no answer so go for a ride around in case she has gone to the shops but no joy. Stop to phone again and discover that she is still at the salon and had been out the back getting her hair washed when I called before. Confusion sorted I bike back to the salon to wait for the finished article to appear.
Whilst waiting I go and get some photocopies of Jai's parents death certificates and some documents I need for my visa extension tomorrow.
When Jai has finished we bike to the bank so that I can get some cash and Jai can check her account for some money that her son has being sending her to save for him.
Business sorted we bike about 5km out the other side of Phon Thong to where her late brothers family live to drop off copies of the death certificates so his widow can claim her pension. Surprisingly, having only been there about twice, I go straight to the village but we cant find the house. There seems to have been quite a lot of building since we were last here and things look different. Have to ask directions.
Back into Phon Thong for some milk then back to Khamnadie.
It is seriously hot this morning and we are both soaked in sweat when we get back ... lovely.
Lazy afternoon till we go for our exercise in the evening.
Stop off to collect Fin on our way back, as agreed, but there is no-one home, so we return to the house empty handed. About 10mins later Fin arrives with little overnight bag and loads of excitement.
