Order was restored this morning. Walking up the passage heading to breakfast and seeing the Noodle soup with pork cart there was a huge relief. We were back to normal - still no bananas but I guess I can cope with that - just. Breakfast options this morning were steamed rice, fried rice with egg, stir fried string bean with chicken, stir fried seafood with black pepper sauce (just couldn't do this one - no idea what sort of seafood is in it except for the large crab legs!!), fried zucchini with eggs, fried pork with chilli paste and bean, sweet ginger drink, clear turnip soup with pork, roast chicken with BBQ sauce, fried potatoes, butter vegetables, boiled rice with fish, thick ham with sauce, as well as the usual bacon ham sausages eggs, salads, fruits, breads, rolls, pasties and cakes. For a first time though we had picklets - plain picklets - no ham, no jelly, no other weird stuff - just big plain thick picklets - and I could choose from heart or star shaped - had to choose one of each - and another heart for good measure!!
Mum and I headed down for a long
swim after breakfast with Pete and Rick joining us about half hour later.
We all went down to the bakery for lunch. I had a chicken and cashew and orange frappe, mum a soup and Peter and Rick a plate of spring rolls and a pineapple and orange frappe each.
We headed down to the foyer at 2.15 and taxi arrived. Rang the boys room but no answer so almost left without a good bye but they made it. A few photos and a hug and a wave and mum and I were off in the taxi with Elvis as our driver. Rained on and off for most of the trip - the boys were going to hire mopeds again this afternoon for sightseeing again then on to the Wednesday night Cha Am market. Hopefully they are still able to!! Mum had decided to come with me to the airport then wait a few hours until Aunty Norelle landed and take her back to Cha Am. Mum wasn't feeling fantastic so she bought a lemonade when we had a stop. About five minutes after we started back in the road I started feeling sick but didn't say anything to mum.
Suddenly I leaned forward, told Elvis to pull over as I felt sick and managed to open the door JUST in time to lean out of the car and be sick how lucky we weren't on the main highway where there was no stopping. I felt a lot better after that and made it to the airport. I checked in, said bye to mum then headed through the door that is reserved for staff and business class and quickly made my way to the business class lounge (Air France) but had a bit of trouble finding it. Fantastic - they were serving chicken and cashew!!! Couldn't even look at it. There was so much nice looking food - a lot better than what is available in Melbourne and in Brunei but I felt too average to have any of it. I had a bit of fruit and a lemonade. What a waste.
Again I was the only one in business class on the plane so as soon as I put the chair down to have a rest they turned the lights off for me. Business Class is good for some things.
