Finally, our shipment from the UK has arrived.

The container is sealed on leaving the UK, and cannot be opened until customs are here to check the integrity of the seal and open. Paperwork must be completed and checked and customs allowed to see what is being unloaded. All the boys are excited, something new and are all keen to help.

We go through all the procedures and unload what we can until we need to call a local fork lift guy to come to the yard to help with the rest. Pallets of anchor chain, batteries to name but a few, extremely heavy and awkward stuff. The guys keep working away unloading while Scott and I check off goods and what's being delivered, but the customs guys wander off... anything could have came off while they were away having lunch!

Anyway, we wait until everything is finally unloaded a few hours later, checked by customs but no pallets are even opened or looked at further and customs are happy to leave us to us which is great. It now means we can get on with all sorts of jobs from putting air con systems in, toilets etc. it's been a long
wait on the shipment arriving, very little of what we need for the boat we can actually source the quality we need out here, so we're pretty relieved.

Here's to the next stage of Aria.
