Yesterday the Chao San road was quiet. It must have been because it was a Sunday afternoon. This hotel is on the river Chao Praya and the evening tourist boats have just as started ploughing up and down. Earlier today we caught an express boat and it was packed, not quite as bad as the northern line, but standing room only. The river trade also still includes the huge barges. I remember seeing them from the top of Wat Arun in 2012. Today it wasn't possible to climb because thenaming tower is covered in scaffolding. The cleaning work is quite impressive. Wat Pho hasn't changed at all. It is still pleasantly uncrowded and the massages in the medical school are still good.
