[youtube=Zh2YzxTukPk]Hi Guys,

Paddy's latest video - which is very informative on things to do in Ubon Ratachani, enjoy!

We have had another great week in Phuket. Strange without Johnny being there this time! We can't wait to see you and Da in Mukdahan xxx

Next stop a quick flight up north to Ubon Ratchathani. Phuket airport was really busy lots of Q's or line ups as the Canadian's would say! The Q for Ubon was not busy uh-oh!! Only a few Thai people and certainly no western variety of passengers. Just me and Paddy.

Off in Ubon we are like superstars or clowns not sure which, as everyone stares and more often than not we get a cheery Hello and then a fit of the giggles as we practice our Thai greetings. When we passed one shop the owner kept saying "I don't understand" taking the mick out of us really. So when we passed the second time Paddy was quick to respond "Mai Jai" which means I don't understand. The shop keeper had a good laugh/maybe a little impressed?

Ubon - Mukdahan over 3 hours on a scanky old bus.

Which was like a local bus that stopped to pick up everyone and their Aunt. Now I am not sure whether the locals consider Paddy to be a Big Buddha because on the bus I don't know how many times he got stroked or a squeeze of his thigh maybe it's considered good luck or maybe they just wanted a squeeze of a big strong thigh Haha!!

We spend a couple of nights in Mukdahan before crossing the border to

Laos

Current location

Vientiane
