sunrise breakfast
Our view at breakfast The sun rose behind the hills at the southern tip of the bay as we enjoyed our breakfast at the privacy beach resort near Khao Sam roi Yot national park. Our guide Pi Golf arrived just before 8am and we were on our bikes and cycling south along the coast by 8:15. The sea was calm and a light breeze cooled us as we headed into the park. We were greeted by buffaloes then monkeys and steep limestone cliffs predominant throughout the park there were lakes, palm trees and wonderful views. Stopping off at a beautiful temple by the sea we were schooled in the role of the Naga protecting the Buddha and how this snake connects the land with the heavens. We had cycled 65km before we stopped for lunch at a roadside restaurant where we treated to seaweed and tofu soup, crab and egg fried rice and sweet papaya salad. We joined the coast road again, had a flat tyre repaired, (it took Pi Oi all of 45 seconds to replace the wheel) before crossing the
Beautiful presented
Better than the usual buffet bridge into Prachaub Khiri Khan, where we chanced upon some travelling Burmese Buddhist monks who graced us with a photo opportunity. Next we walked through the market and up flights of 396 steps to the temple overlooking the whole region. Wonderful views of the 3 bays that made up our route today.
In the evening Pi Golf escorted us to the night market where we chose from a stunning variety of Thai dishes followed by some shirt tightening delicious deserts.
