We travelled to Kanchanaburi to visit the Tiger Temple there, supposedly run by monks, however after arriving and reading up about the place we decided it was far to controversial for us to visit. Instead we went to see the Bridge over the River Kwai and the Death Railway which was very educational! Built by POW during WW2 the bridge cost over 100,000 lives because of its poor working conditions. Some of you may have seen the film!

The rest of the time however we spent by the pool. The lively tourist street in Kanchanburi was good fun and we went to the Buddah Bar one night and met a Californian who was 'jamming' with the band next door. We followed him over and had a great night dancing to the reggae reggae music!

We left Kanchanaburi after a couple of nights. I had a very excited Jordan who wanted to get to Hua Hin for a fishing trip. After trying our very best to find our way using public transport we eventually ended up in a minibus 😞
