Wednesday 8th Feb
Day starts well. Paula prepares Thai Brunch of stir fried noodles in soy sauce, topped with perfectly poached eggs. We both declared very nice, tasty and healthy too. Lots of Tetley tea . Then pack beach bags to try to find the local's favourite beach resort of Ho Sai Noi. Can't see it on any of our maps, so set off with a general direction and lots of optimism . Following Google we make several wrong turns but enjoy the journey through marsh land and masses of fields of Pineapples, although living in Cyprus We cannot remember seeing them before and certainly in such quantities , parked up near a famous Buddha, that Google says overlooks our destination , Paula gets out to check if we are where we want to be when suddenly Leo goes into a panic. Where is my back pack Paula? ......... We realise that our wallet containing all our money, bank cards, etc are still not in the car and hopefully back at the house, so instead of chilling at the beach, we are having a hair-raising 25 min drive home to see if our valuables are still within grasp. It is a very fast and tense trip. No domestic argument arises, but we both know who the culprit is. On arrival the Backpack, with all our valuables safely inside, sits for all to see outside the front door. Leo explores every alternative in order to blame Paula but finally admits defeat , a lucky escape. The good news on our manic journey back we saw signs for our destination . So 20 minutes later we park at Ho Sai Noi Beach and know exactly why we came to Thailand. This is heaven. Amazing swimming, perfect weather, excellent food and drink opportunities, bliss. Paula says she will come here every day! Photos explain . Quick beer at Mr Sing's, then home for sundowners and dinner. Loving this trip !
