I know you are going to enjoy more the pictures of this entry than the text, so we are going to make it short.
Leslie has gone to his Mum in Vietnam for few days, and we are in Thailand. First stop, Bangkok. If you don't know
yet, Bangkok is going to be our new home from the end of the summer. So few days stop in Bangkok. New school for
Leslie, done...new flat...we know what the "maison du bonheur" in Bangkok will look like...checked even the supplies
in the supermarkets. Well, beside the outrageous price of wine and champagne, this is going to be paradise. Come
to visit us...just don't forget to bring along the way some wine or champagne!

We also enjoy the first flash rain of the season. Wow...that was something...only one hour rain, but Sukhumvit are was
under 50cm of water! Amazing...but not easy to move around for few hours! It was also Ma'ri first visit, and she seems
to enjoy it...Bangkok...we are coming back soon!

After this we made our way to Phuket. First stop, 24 hours at the Banyan Tree...spa pool villa. Ok, first the disclaimer!
The world is in a deep crisis...things are not easy...for everybody, inclusive me. But this bring some crazy deals
around. I've land to get a 85% discount on the rack rate for this little paradise. It's still not cheap, but an amazing
deal. So we didn't splurge on the spa this time. And we did find a great restaurant for take-away. The Lotus restaurant
is only 300 meters from our villa...and the opportunity to enjoy some great...and cheap thai seafood! So enjoy the
pics. The place is indeed a little paradise without much need to venture outside of the "room"!

After this, we made our way to Chalong Bay....to the first liveaboard for Ma'ri...and my...well, I've stopped to
count. This time, it's the Mermaid II, with 16 divers going to share great time over Hin Muang, Hin Daeng, Koh Ha
and Phi Phi Le.

First, let's start by the last...Phi Phi. We did an evening stop there. My last visit was 5 years ago. I did my
Advanced Open Water there. Since there the tsunami has devastated the region. I didn't fancy the place 5 years ago.
Sadly, they have re-built the same ugly dirty place. It's maybe a place for "young" backpackers in search of some
"adventures"...but I won't bring Leslie here tomorrow...or even later! Fun to see that most of the tourists are small
group of girls downing drinks after drinks...guess the guys have stayed in Phuket...

We did dive Bida Noi...well...very average diving. There is a reason for this trip thought. I always wanted to dive
Hin Muang and Hin Daeng. Two dive sites 3 hours south of Phi Phi. And the 3 nights 2 days trip is really worth something
it's because of Hin Daeng/Hin Muang and Koh Ha.

Our first dive was on Hin Muang...and the second one also. And what a dive...you jump in the water and the first
whale shark was there....2 minutes later followed by a manta. Two mantas, 2 whale sharks, on a 40 minutes dive...
staying all the time with us. This was just amazing! And only the 12th dive for Ma'ri...imagine, last month night dive
with Mantas in Hawaii...today 12th dive and first 2 whale sharks...plus few mantas as a bonus! Spoiled kid! Disgusting!
But what a smile!!!!

So this is it for the may holidays...next entry...you'll have to wait a little...summer holidays are coming fast...and
planing is well in progress...we are going to enjoy it...I can tell you...

Till there, with love from all of us...enjoy life as much as you can...we do!

Hi
And you won't believe it...I found out only after the dive that it was two whaleshark...as we never saw them together...one was there when we entered the water...he left after 15 minutes...and a second one came less than 3 minutes after! It was so exciting! Next dive in less than 6 weeks!
