After a long crazy bus journey across thailand (involving a cancelled ferry, 2hr wait in the heat, children throwing up on buses and a VERY different "highway code") we found ourselves in a rather grubby town called Krabi (gra-bee). Hounded by travel agents we ended up being driven down some very dark back streets to a guesthouse which was surprisingly clean (although we were probably the only people). For 3 quid we couldn't really complain!

The next day we moved to Cashewnut Bungalow (Jungle hut in our terms) with complimentary wildlife and cold yellow water! Also very cheap and the owners were very friendly (I think they liked our hair! haha). The beach was a short walk, as were restaurants/shops etc. Took a speed boat trip out to Phi Phi islands which were absolutely amazing. Went snorkelling/swimming and saw lots of cool fish and coral! Spend a little time on Maya beach where "The Beach" was filmed. Would have been amazing except for the bloody tourists! Saw some other fabulous beaches and the scenery was really stunning (see pics).

Decided to take things a little slow the next day and hopped on a longtail boat to Railay Beach. Yet another postcard! Had a fun last night in Thailand at Hippies bar, listening to local band doing classic Western numbers - Thai style! Fire show was pretty crazy too.

10 hour bus to Penang....more to follow soon
