We arrived in Koh Samui early in December for a month of fun and relaxation. We found the most wonderful cabaña’s to rent for a month on the North West side of the island, not far from Big Buddha. We were the only people staying in the little cabaña’s having our own swimming pool, beach and Thai family to look after us. We rented a motorbike to take us around the island for the next month much to Chloe's delight.
The island is full of charm, especially in the south. There are waves to ride on one side of the island and tranquil lapping waters on the other. The fishermen (and women) wade up to their knees to get their daily catch. The food is out of this world, fresh fish and fruit in abundance. Big Buddha is worth a visit, so too is the Jungle Club high up in the mountains for a meal and great music.
We had such a great time meeting up with various friends who travelled from the UK for the holiday season, thank you all for your generosity, drunkenness and laughter. Christmas was wonderful thanks to Anna, Paul and Jacqui who provided the
most amazing Christmas lunch. New Year was spent on Koh Phangan which was complete madness. Thanks to Joni and Susanna for the numerous meals that they paid for, Happy 40th Susanna! Thanks to Glass for the crazy wonderful times we had.......goes without saying!
Most of all we are now recharged and relaxed. Ready for all the crazy adventures we will no doubt find ourselves in. Off to Bangkok and then on to the mountains of northern Thailand, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
