Woke up to a rainy afternoon today. It was raining since early morning, and I really hope that the sun will come out soon. The massage we had yesterday seems to does wonders for my body. Despite dancing throughout the night yesterday, my body hardly aches at all.

< "Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day." I adore the rains, but it's vacation time! So I do want some sun! >

< I really love it here so much! This is such a beautiful and relaxing island. Oh, I don't ever want my vacation to stop. It is really great to escape all the hustle and bustle of the city and just leave all the worries of the world behind us. >

We didn't do much in this rainy weather. We just strolled around the shops and stores for the umpteen times and got dagger-stares from the staffs (at us for buying absolutely nothing). Most of the restaurants, pubs and resorts have movies screening every evening and I managed to catch some movies that I missed when they were showing in the theatres. The busy lifestyle at home doesn't always allows us the luxury of catching every single movie we wanted to watch. We watched "Identity" today. Thought it had a clever plot, but an unfortunate lousy scripting.
We went down to Sweet Soul Cafe again after our dinner. There wasn't many people at the joint. We thought it might be either the rain or the Muay Thai boxing match which was showcasing this evening. We decided to sit out at a nearby pub, Quarterbacks and see if the crowd will improve later. We ordered some drinks and watched "Kill Bill: Volume One" while we waited. The crowd did perk up much later on at the joint and we had a great night there.

< There were peddlers around the strip today who put pet snakes and chameleons on tourists for photographing sake. There were children at the strip too - little girls and boys who sell stringed-flowers to the tourists. One very sad thing though, I have heard about these children who usually sell more than just flowers. In short, some of them are actually child sex workers. Sigh. It's a very sad sight and I do wish it's only rumours that I heard about these children. But tonight, I saw it with my own eyes. The clubbing strip closes about 2am and the crowds were dispersing. A little flower-girl, about 10 or 11 years old, was hugging this Caucasian guy and refusing to let go. He was refusing her offer and was gently pushing her away, but she held on to him. It was a disconcerting sight. >

We had some cold desserts at Ninja Crepe Cafe and relaxed there for awhile. Back at our hut, Vivi heard some strange noises while brushing her teeth at the bathroom and went out to investigate. She caught this Thai guy peeping into our bathroom on a chair. He must had banged against the wall (made from metal sheets which of cos make quite a din when knocked against) and got Vivi's suspicions up. He escaped unfortunately, when she confronted him. Vivi was really angry that he even had the cheek to smile at her! Some of our neighbours were nice enough to offer their help if we needed any. We just warned them to be careful of the peeping tom. And no thanks to him, we showered with paranoia that night. We made sure that every hole in the room and shower was well-covered and plastered up before we went to bed.

< Hmmm... Guess I must remember that plaster tape is a must-have from now on. You should have see the amount of holes they have in the hut. And come to think of it, we did notice that the holes were made from inside the hut, rather than from outside. We suspected that the peeping tom might be one of the resort's workers. Unfortunately, it was dark and Vivi couldn't really see him well. We complained to the security guard who was on duty, but he hardly spoke much English, so communication was futile. It was another disturbing experience of the day. >

Expenditure:
- Charlie's Hut, American breakfast with hot tea THB100
- rent THB300
- internet usage THB65 (an internet shop just down the road from the Ninja Crepe Cafe, which is run by a lovely Caucasian and Thai couple. They organised adventure tours around Samui too.)
- dinner, seafood with rice THB30 (tasted kind of weird, maybe it was because of the fish sauce they put in it), Tom Yum instant noodles THB40 (I wanted Tom Yum soup, but made a wrong order and ended up with this instead.)
- a set of red bikini THB450 (my favourite buy and I really loved it!)
- corn custard tarts THB20 (I bought these yummy treats from the local wet market that we wandered into by chance. It's a market for the locals and there weren't many tourists there. That's why the locals at the market eyed us curiously.)
- Quarterbacks, hot tea THB30 (a nice pub and restaurant which serves some nice food. A big screen for movie screening. Band performance and Elvis night on some evenings. A nice place to just hang out.)
- Sweet Soul Cafe, a shot of Kahlua THB100 (errr... now you know, I ain't much of a drinker)
- Ninja Crepe Cafe, cold longans dessert THB50
