Happy April Fools All Massages in Thailand Well, us girls are officially addicted to Thailand. We had our first foot massage which ended up being a full foot and body massage for 1 1/2 hrs for 8 bucks!! Ahhh the life. You go into these places and there are Thai ladies waiting for you, you lie down on beds and all 3 of us have massages done all at the same time. We have decided, we WILL have one everyday. So yesterday, we had ventured to a full Thai Massage at the beach hut we are staying at. We were in the grass hut overlooking the ocean getting contorted every which way (and I am not kidding). Although not the most relaxing massage, you fee a 10 years younger after it. Roth, our massage guy said ... read more

The shores of Thailand's beaches has washed myself and Graham together for a few days.. in the ebb and flow of our travels, we met briefly in ko phangan (where i stayed for the infamous full moon beach party with my european crew), and then spent a few days together diving in ko tao. we are currently in bangkok where we will spend the next few days with the principia abroad, then i leave for Laos. I just made the decision today, I'm not really sure what's pulling me there, but I suppose I will find out when I arrive...it will definitely be a change of scene from the last week or two of beaches. I plan on going to Vientiane and Luang Prabang, Laos with my last 2 weeks of southeast asia..then i will meet ... read more

Been spending less money herein Thailand than I thought, especially up north! Laos was beautiful, but fairly cold, surprisingly! The nights were freezing, and I'm actually glad I brought my sleeping bag, lol! Down here on the islands it's paradise! The water is clear blue, the sun is shining and everyone has got Baywatch tans *hmmmm*! Things are easy and relaxing on the islands, but I feel it gets to be a bit too much relaxing in the end and I'm itching to get back to some culture, and real travelling! ;) Find it a bit plastic as well, everyone is extremely gorgeous and trendy and that whole thing, and to be honest it makes me a bit sick. Went to the infamous Fullmoon Party yesterday, that was fun to try, but I don't think it's ... read more

Reviving ourselves with some delicious banana pancakes and a mango shake or two the next day we got the overnight sleeper train and the morning ferry across to Ko Phan Nga. Once we were on the Island we took a 45-minute trip on the back of a trailer and we were thereā€¦.peace, tranquillity, sea, beach. We were set and counting down. We had just four days to soak up as much sun and sea as we could before hitting the mad metropolis of Manila. The days were spent sunbathing, hanging with the local cooks and refining our Tom Yum Soup making skills and sneaking into the luxury hotel pool at the top of the cliff. It was perfect. ... read more

Hi Guys Initially Ko PhaNgan wasn't going so well for me, thought that the gods had deserted me. Its difficult (impossible) to get accomm leading up to the full moon, i found a room and took it immediatly. Thought myself lucky it wasn't the beach. After further discussion with my 4 new roomates, an awful nights sleep and a nasty enounter with the bathing facilities.... it became evident that the beach was probably better option. Thankfully all 4 decided to find new digs in the morning. I was going to share with a guy i met at the pub the night before but i was hoping i could find something else.... so i wasn't at his mercy should he turn out'unique' as i was agonising over this decision.... i hit the JACKPOT! I met 2 Norweigan ... read more

Left Ko Tao with a heavy heart, it's a great island! Arrived in Ko Phan-Ngan 2 days after full moon party. didn't like the Had Rin area of the island, which is where the full moon party takes place once a month. Just relaxed there and did the Reggae Boat Trip one of the days. Anyone who has done it will know what it entails.....a very mellow day ;-) ... read more

It's sunny, hot and we've finally managed to find a place to stay for less than $10 per night. We left Bangkok a few days ago. They're beginning to run together now. I heard a rumour that it might be Friday. Not sure whether to believe it or not. Had a great time in Bangkok. Ran into a colleague from CBC in Banglamphu. Robin Barber was on his way home after a four month sojurn through Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. We went to the redlight district of Patpong and checked out the sights. We spent the better part of the day wandering in and out of sex shows and beer bars picking Robin's brain about where to go and what to see. It was a blast. Especially what some women can do with ping pong balls ... read more

Another week, gone not sure where it went, we were talking last night and I think the common feeling in Thailand is 5 days or 10 days or however many you are traveling, but only 1 night, they all seem to blend together. We have been on Koh Phangan noiw for the last 4 days and really just chilling out. I went for a massgae the other day, not the naughty kind, I know what you are thinking. I hate to say this, it actual pains me, but the novelty of bare boob has finally worn off. They are everywhere I look, I was shocked and thankful the first few days I got here, but now it seems the norm and there may be nothing sadder in this world then losing interest in looking for bare ... read more

I've been to Hawaii and it's very beautiful and serene. However, it's very expensive. In Koh Pha-Ngan, almost everyone is farang and the Thais are not as friendly (not surprising, based on the attitudes of the tourists there). Fortunately we were staying away from the main city (Had Rinn). The day sort of goes like this: Wake up and meander over to the "restaurant." Let me explain: You take off your shoes and then either sit at tables or lay on mats. Sometimes I would grab a menu myself, sometimes I would let the waiter bring it. It doesn't matter. "No problem." The waiter does not check on you. If you want something more or the check, you motion him over. The food always takes a long time to arrive, but that's why you bring a ... read more
