On our taxi to Haad Rin we met a couple who were called Sam and Olivia, our ride was the bumpiest and most painful to date but was fun all the same. Sam and Olivia had already booked a room at 'Sarikantang Resort and Spa', so we thought we would check it out too. After a short trek through Haad Rin we were shown a bungalow which was 600B (over our budget) but this place was lovely, the room was massive, the bathroom was so clean and the fan was powerful and best of all no cockroaches! We both felt like we needed a decent nights sleep so we said we would have it for one night. When we went to check in they knocked 200Baht off the price as there was some construction going on near the bungalow - great!! That night we went out with Sam & Olivia who like us was well in need of a good Indian Curry, we headed for the nearest Indian and stuffed our faces. We then headed to the bars, unfortunately we had all over done it with the curry so had to call it a night. It was so nice going back
Can i keep it?Can i keep it?Can i keep it?

No Amy you must be joking!
to a cool, bug free room that we decided that we would stay on for another 3 nights - we can not resist a bargain. We spent our days doing the usual - eating, walking, swimming, eating, watching a movie in the bars, walking and a bit more eating. Sam and Olivia tried to persuade us to stay on for the full moon party, which is Ko Pha Ngan's claim to fame, we decided not to because we would have to stay on longer than we had planned.

Haad Rin had a really good holiday atmosphere there were more groups of lads and girls than couples. We also felt that most of the people there were on holiday, than travelling because it was more expensive. After Haad Rin we decided to head for our original destination, of Ko Toa. This is the smaller of the three islands...

(Sorry the only picture of Haad Rin that we took was of this cute little kitten that took a liking to our bungalow).
