Koh Lanta is a fairly new addition to the tour, but definitely a great one! This area is a bit more secluded (2 ferry rides away from the mainland), and it still is relatively uncrowded. We stayed at the Lanta Marine Park View Resort for a couple of nights; it was refreshing to finally have a room with a/c and a mini fridge! The view was beautiful overlooking the ocean.

For the first day here I pretty well took it easy, taking in the beach, the view, the a/c. On the second day we had a long boat trip to some of the surrounding islands for snorkelling. We also went to this small mountain/ hill protruding out of the ocean called "Emerald Caves". We ended up swimming through the caves, which sometimes were pitch black, but thankfully the tour guide brought a flashlight. The sketchiness of the swim was well worth it though because the end led to this opening where there was a completely secluded & enclodes beach. Words really can't describe how beautiful it was!
