picnic on our bed
no bugs in this bungalow So we took it upon ourselves to take on the huge responsibility of doing nothing. It was a challenge yes but we prevailed. We initially had plans to go to the hot springs on saturday although rain had interfered with those plans. That is when we decided to do nothing. We went back to the Tipa Resort since it is so beautiful and away from downtown (although it is downtown) up in the hill side. We bought two movies which we have learned are filmed in a theater and then put onto a DVD. The quality is pretty bad but you can't beat the price. It's kinda like watching new movies that feel like they are from the seventies. Regardless, we enjoyed a movie on our bed with some popcorn we bought from 7-11 (which are all over by the way). We then went out and brought back some dinner from the local vendors which is way cheaper than touristville Aonang. We continue to learn the way of the Thai day in and day out. We enjoyed a Thai picnic on our bed which included sprite, green curry chicken, and som tom (papaya salad). We continued to do nothing and watch
some programs on the National Geographic channel which were quite interesting. We slept in, we slept in, and then we slept in some more!!! the beds were so nice that all we could do was give in to them and sleep until 15 minutes to the end of breakfast (9:45). We enjoyed mostly an american type breakfast and then made the decision to ride out into the country and search for the hot springs on our own and not through a tour guide company. The trip was worth every second except the red light I blew. Jordonne's heart rate increased a little but we were ok. We rode for about an hour and a half on our motorbike through the countryside of Thailand passing cows on the ground and cows in the back of pick up trucks?! It was a Nissan! In Thailand you either own a motorbike or a pick-up truck. needless to say we made it! the hot springs were excellent. natural pools of mineral water naturally heated to 38-42 degrees celcius which is about 100-105 degrees Farenheit. The pools cascaded into a canal accompanied by the scenery of a jungle. aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh. what was that? aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh. oh yeah
relaxin and maxin
This is what its all about! and one more thing, aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh. Jealous much? hehe ok I'll stop. we stayed for about an hour or so and then decided to go search for the Crystal pool/Emerald pool. We rode in some light rain for about 20 minutes and came upon it. we had to walk about 800 meters or so but it was well worth it. The pool was crystal clear with a hint of turquoise contrasting with the green jungle around us and the light brown rocks from which the water came trickling down from. here it is again......are you ready? aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. very nice. check out the pics and the video footage(to come at a later time). we then rode back, got into some dry clothes and ate some dinner. I happily chose to get a spicy Thai chicken dish. First of all, Thai dishes are naturally spicy, so to get s dish that actually has the word spicy in front of it on the menu is quite bold and brave. I was not thinking at the time but now I am paying for it in more than one way as I type to you! hehe. The cooks were watching as the tears and sweat accumulated
aaaahhhhhhh
the hot springs. Its kinda hard to appreciate it from this picture but we sure can! on my face. they got a kick out of watching the foreigner (farung) eat a spicy Thai dish. So on that note, gotta go!!!!!! hope you'all enjoyed our lastest adventure. Join us again in the next episode where we take on the task of exploring KO PHI PHI!!!!!
