About 10 days ago my dear friend Karolina came from London to Thailand. It so happened that Tatiana was in Bangkok as well, so the three of us decided to travel further together. The three polish girls with the great ideas. The first trip the tree of us did together was to Kanchanabury -the tiger tempel. What can I tell you besides that it was amazing? We also did our first hitch hike there- as we took local buses with many many thai people- I was sitting right next to the driver on the thing that you are not supposed to sit on :) he dropped us off somewhere along the road and told us we had to walk to sideroad to the tiger tempel- about 4km. lucky pigs as we are... we hitch hiked with ... read more

Pai has to be the best place on earth, its amazing! We got the horrific minivan through the mountains and planned on staying for just one night but once we got there we fell in love with the place and ended up staying for longer. We were really lucky and found some gorgeous huts to stay in, very luxurious for Thai standards and very cheap at only 125baht each a night (just over £2). We were shattered after our jungle trek and night out in Chiang Mai so once we decided to stay for 2 nights instead of one we just headed out for dinner, did some shopping and went home. We were also very over dressed as Pai is the most laid back travellery town ever and there was us in little dresses with full ... read more

Doing the Travel Blog was beginning to seem too much like hard work so we took a break – now were well rested and ready to catch up on our blog. We headed to Pai in a minibus – 4 hours and 730 corners later we arrived feeling a bit green from the twistiest road ever. We didn’t find out till we arrived in Pai that you’re able to rent a motorbike in Chang Mai and give it back in Pai and they transport your luggage for free – this would definitely of been a better way of making the trip. Pai is the coolest little bohemian town full of guys walking around with dreads , tie dye t-shirts, and playing their guitars. There’s live music in most bars and Bob Marley wannabes. Once we got ... read more

This one is going to be very brief. I just spent an hour and a half typing up my most recent entry, only for it to time out when it came to me saving it. So I really cannot be arsed to rewrite it word for word so instead I'll wing it and write what I remember with my shocking memory. I have spent the last few days in Pai, a small town in the North-Eastern province of Mae Hong Son, close to the border of Myanmar and is situated in the southerly limit of the Himalayas...and I've never been somewhere so nice in my life. Although it is becoming increasingly touristy, it has not yet reached an annoying level. It still contains a complex mix of nationalities and cultures, all of which are incredibly friendly ... read more

Warning: By reading my blogs you are willingly choosing to go inside of my head and join me on this journey. I could not portray what I am seeing and feeling without being %100 me, which means writing it word for word how it plays in my head. Thank you for choosing Paige airways and enjoy your flight Notes and Thoughts Favorites: As an official traveler of the world there are a few things that I’m so happy I have and would never want to be without when on the road. 1. Prescription sunglasses. While driving motorbikes, hiking or lounging in the sun, I never want to be without my polarized wonders. In fact as the sun goes down, if I have forgotten to bring out my regular glasses I find my self cruising around in ... read more

February 15th, What an amazing life this is! Starting with breakfast again! Beckah picked us up and took us to the market where we sat down and had the most refreshing fruit salad I have ever encountered. Mango, papaya, dragon fruit, banana raisins and nuts, and we washed it down with a coconut juice. I got to machete it open myself. We walked around the market multiple times that day. Its Jacobs favorite place to be, he’s like a kid in a candy shop. We rented motor bikes, one for each of us. Beckah took us to a temple in Chiang mai, Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Once again the Gold blew me away! I don’t have the words to describe it but ill try, heavy, peaceful, beautiful… I will include picture but I can’t explain the ... read more

Dear Grace & Mag, Had a really chilled out week, so relaxing. But also had a bit of adventure as well because we (Kirsten, Aiden and I) hired scooters and rode round to different towns over a period of about 3/4 days. Was so good because it gives you so much freedom. Anywho... on the first day I arrived in Pai there were no scooters left (it's really hard to get them) so we got a taxi to Mhor Phaeng waterfall and swam & sunbathed up there for a bit and climbed up the rocks to the top. It was quite difficult getting up the rocks though as they're quite smooth so basically got to hoist yourself up with your hands- thought I was going to fall back at one point which was really scary but ... read more

It took 1 hour to reach Pai by bus from Soppong. The first impression of Pai was really shocking and I was reminded of Christine's words (she was my travel companion for a day in Soppong). There were hords of tourists - but of the unpleasant kind of. Pai used to be an old hippy enclave in the mountains. But the "real" hippies have nearly disappeared or gone further into the mountains. Nowadays, Pai is full of want to be hippies in dirty clothes and without any behaviour - far away of beeing real hippies. Well, not the place I love to stay and I was glad that I had booked a room outside of Pai. To get to this place I wanted to rent a scooter which turned out to be quite tricky. I went ... read more

Day 114 (Sat 29thDec) Pai My first full day in Pai was spent doing, well very little. Louise joined Tammy and Jo who we met in Chiang Mai for a girly morning at the Spa so I left them to that. I wandered around the town and waited for Megan to get into town. Then we pretty much just chilled out for the day roaming the streets, off which there are not that many. Pai is a really small place, around 3,000 local inhabitants but it’s become incredibly popular these days with tourists flocking in from Chiang Mai. It was that busy the river was lined with tents for people coming for New Years, luckily we had a room for a couple days otherwise we’d have been tenting it. At tea time I met up with ... read more
