Day 19. This morning we spotted a beautiful kingfisher in the trees, see photo, followed by a frog falling out of the folds of a sun parasol. It must be a climber to get up the pole, but why it wanted to sleep in a parasol is anybody's guess.
After breakfast a splinter group set off to find the village fishing port. Down by the temple (wat) we found a cluster of buildings on stilts either side of a concrete jetty leading to the fishing fleet which was all in port as night fishing is the norm. A few inhabitants were mending and coiling their nets, but no fish to be bought.
Lunch today was at Saffron on the sea, several whole fish being served with a glass of sauvignon blanc or beer.
Returning home we plunged into the pool as today has been one of our hottest at 35C and then we watched the sun set.
