Hello guys, we are back in Thailand and heading to Ko Chang on a bus. We arrive at the ferry point and it took 2 hours to reach the island. It was dark when we jumped off the songthaew at lonely beach and we started wandering down a street trying to find some accommodation. We stopped by a family eating dinner and ask if they have any rooms, they take us to a back room type room and I immediately say no way to Craig. We were then shown to a hut where we dropped our bags and took a cold shower and headed off for food. The next day we changed rooms and stayed at the sunflower. We walked to the beach which was five mins away and it was the most smallest and over ... read more

Today is boxing day! We started the day, by having brunch in our favourite cafe again! We then visted the medical centre, as Onie has had an aweful rash all over her tummy and back, and has been feeling a bit under the weather! Luckily he gave her some Antihistamine and we were kindly given a bottle of Calamine by the guy we are hiring our bike off, and she is feeling better! We then drove to Khlong Phlu waterfall, and walked the 500m throught the forest to it! Even though we hadn't brought our swimming costumes, Rik was soooo hot and sweaty from the treck...he just dived in fully clothed! The locals were climbing up the cliff mountain, and jumping into the water! So of course Rik joined in! We chilled out there for a ... read more

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! It felt really wierd waking up in a wooden hut in them middle of the jungle on Christmas morning! Maybe it has something to do with the scorching heat, and lack of x-mas decorations! Yesturday we had both given each other 250 baht and had walked around Bang Bao market and bought each other a presant to open on Christmas moring! We also treated ourselves to neck pillows (and yes Mom...they have elephants on them)! We are sick of travelling via bus, and looking like Quasi Modo (cricked neck), when we get off them!!! I had got Rik a Quiksilver t-shirt to match our pug beast back in England! And he bought me a dress and bakini! After having showers, we headed to our favourite restaurant : BonCafe, to have a lovely Christmas ... read more

What a random Christmas Day! After our brunch, we hopped onto our motorbike and went searching for a kayak! We didn't have to search for long! We travelled to Kai Bay, which is about 20km north up the west coast! We found a group of 5 really small islands sitting out at sea, that had our names written all over them! After jumping in our Kayak, we ventured out, via a small canal in which had to pass under a small foot bridge! In the distance, we could see that one of the stunning island (that was completly deserted, and un-inhabited), had a beautiful beach! It took us about 30 minutes to reach it, and when we got there, we enjoyed some snorkling! We then started heading out to one of the other islands, but after ... read more

So after 12 hours of travelling from Sihanoukville (Cambodia) to Ko Chang (Thailand), via 3 buses and a ferry...we finally arrived!!! Ko Chang is awesome! We are definalty looking foward to spending Christmas here! The main life here is situated along the west coast, and the beaches here are stunning! Instead of staying in the hustle and bustle of White Sands and Lonely Beach (which isn't so lonely), we have decided to stay just outside Bang Boa which is situated on the south-west tip of the island, and is famous for its chilled out atmospher! Right up our street! The resort we are staying at is sooo cool! Its called Cliff Cottage Resort and it consists of 30 wooden huts, all postioned high up on a cliff edge! The people that run it are super friendly, ... read more

Well, after so much of traveling in the middle of Thailand and Laos I decided I need the ocean. I was never-and hopefully never will be much of a land rat. I love the ocean, the waves, the soft sound of them that puts you to sleep. And now, after some time of traveling i felt at peace again. It wasn't the best Thailand has to offer. It was a rocky back on an island called Ko Chang and a village named Bang Bao. But it was peaceful! No tourists almost. It took me approximately 8 hours to get there, cause i decided at 10 o clock in the morning, that i don't want to spend another day in Bangkok and the bus for Ko Chang was leaving at 11. But i got it and arrived ... read more

After arriving back from Laos we spent a day and a night in Bangkok, which gave us a chance to catch up with our friend Liam and also to sort the trip to our current location Ko Chang. We stayed at a much cheaper guest house this time. The rooms were OK its just slightly off koh san road - the main tourist strip -which makes it cheaper. It also had some amazing views over the river from the roof. We got the bus / ferry from Bangkok to Ko Chang early on Monday morning and got to Lonely beach on the south of the island just as it was getting dark on Monday night. Its so good to be at the beach! The beach is palm tree lined and water is clear and warm like ... read more

Etter å ha ankommet ... read more
