Bangkok...Yep...Little did I know...indeed...little did I know how well that bitch of a city served an alpha male...I was in fact a "gamma male" that turned alpha. My life surrounding ancient temples...Buddhist life in a kingdom of old dynasties...Life still had ancient touches to it... Prior to the 2000's, girls in Thailand where generally not allowed to have boyfriends...Families had a watchful eye over them...Foreigners were out of their watch...How handy was that for a beautiful Thai girl in the 90's?... I tell you...Almost every girl out of a good, rich family wanted to be your girlfriend...No kidding...That's when I decided...Let's call it home...Indeed it become my home in paradise for years to come...I even through in a business I run in Bangkok successfully...Well, than came 2001...Things have changed to the bad...worse...worst...

Anyway...fast backward to the good years "One night in Bangkok" Who doesn't know that very popular pop song from the 80's...I did not know that 10 years later I would be following into the footsteps of the actual context...My best years in Bangkok 1993 - 1999...Life was good...not just good...a dream come true...I remember my first stay in 1993 exactly as it happened yesterday...

My arrival by train from Singapore via Kuala Lumpur, 72 hours on the train...Arriving at Main Train station in Bangkok...I had a hotel pre-booked in Germany and let a taxi bring me there.

I did not know that famous Patpong road, the red light district of Bangkok was just 300 meters away...I found out quickly as I walked out the door that evening.

I did what everybody else would have done...I went into those crazy bars and simply experienced it...Luckily I met a very friendly taxi driver who wasn't part of the usual taxi mafia running around BKK in for your money...

This guy had suggested that I experience New Year's eve the thai way, far far away from where I stayed...Yes, an ordinary travel would say...oh boy, danger is knocking...Not me, I have already had a fair share of adventures back than and decided to go on this never ending taxi ride, it took 1 hour to get to the outskirts of Bangkok, there I was in the middle...among the Thais partying, the only foreign face in town...The taxi ride was indeed not expensive so I decided to even invite him along to the party in the largest disco in Bangkok...

There she was...standing around a single table...
