I'm a small Swede that simply just love to travel. I haven't been around as much as I'd wish to yet, but my life long goal is to visit all the countries in the world. I still have a long way to go before that mission is accomplished though. I live with my two cats and one spider in Alvesta, a small city outside of Växjö where I try to host people from all over the world as often as I can. It sounds so familiar ...
Your experience in Bangkok with the - 'Palace is closed for prayers' - sounds almost exactly like ours except that we were told that it was closed until 1.00pm for Bhudha's Birthday. We were well and truly scammed too even though we also like to think that we are awake to most scams! I guess with traveling we just have to take the good with the bad. Happy travels.
